    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

OK first off back off!! Yahoo???? I never dealt with you!! And all I was saying is I personally have never had problems dealing with SOuthern State or Bobby. Not saying others may not of I don't know. But jumping the gun and pointing fingers is not looking to good for you either. My negative feedback was thanks to a stupid vet telling me wrong thing when probing animals and since then I have probed my own zero problems and can give tons of references. But it isn't worth the waste of breath we peopl just point fingers before knowing the story.

I think when you interact with someone on a neutral level, you learn alot about them. I think Bobby is just misunderstood sometimes and his outspoken attitude gets misread alot as well. He is very experienced in keeping & breeding herps

I agree with you on several points. However, I think it brings up another issue: There are many people who are experienced in keeping & breeding herps; which ones do you give your money to? The ones that, in addition to having great animals, give great customer service, are honest, are an asset to the reptile community? Or does the rest not matter?

That's a hotly debated issue. Everyone has to decide for themselves. As I said before, if someone that I'd given my money to called me a c*cks*cker, I think that would be enough for me to stop doing business with them and their partners. Who needs it?

I am not jumping the gun....and if remember correctly,, The snake in question was not only missexed but also "suppose to be a bullseye" and instead it was a wildcaught that had scars,,, not "bullseyes" so i am just calling it like i see it,,,
and i hope you continiue to deal with Steve and Bobby,, and they deal with you ,, that is three less that have proven to display themselves in a bad light the rest of us don't have to deal with,,,!

Last post for me this is just to funny a senior member pointing fingers for no reason I stated what happend to those bad deals and thought that I was being honest and still bs ROFLMAO. Well to each there own I have references for all to see if need.

I don't know Tom or what these other bad deals are about, but I personally have no problem with him posting his positive business dealings with Bobby Pruett.

It's good to see that someone has had good dealings with Bobby. I don't think Tom should be labeled a bad guy just because he posted that he's had no problems with him.

Seamus, that thread I started was a mistake. I admit I was wrong for saying what I did and Bobby and I have long since buried the proverbial hatchet on that issue. I've seen his geckos and they looked just fine to me. Also, whats wrong with change? Change in many cases can mean progression.....without change, where would we be?
 
Change doesn't automatically equal a positive alteration though.

That thread was really added simply because it's one which has Bobby as a subject.

Outside of the debacle with the snow boa, Bobby's animals have a reputation for being at least fairly healthy (Or are they? See Tim Bowles thread and decide for yourself after seeing who's stock went where), it's his customer service and his inability to admit wrongdoing that are the problem.

Mistakes happen, problems occur, situations outside of the control of the involved individuals are inevitable.

It's how they are handled that really tells you about a person's character. Would you like to deal with someone who has problems only infrequently... but refuses to correct them? What if you, by a miracle of chance, are someone who has an issue... is it worth the risk, the potential loss of money, headaches and run around to even enter the deal to begin with?

I personally would say no... Bobby hasn't got anything that can't be had elsewhere (except those genetic striped beardies), usually for less money and universally from someone with less of a piss-poor attitude. I'd rather take my money and give it to someone who will appreciate my business and treat me well as a customer than one who might go a bit insane and throw a juvenile temper tantrum at the drop of a hat.

By the way Bobby, you are also misrepresenting that "genetically striped carrot tail" in the leopard gecko ads on Kingsnake.

That animal is NOT a stripe... it has a banded tail and the neck band is not broken.

It may "only" be a $175 animal, but you are still wrong for misrepresenting it.

When some kid gets done saving his allowance for a couple months and buys that gecko from you, he/she is going to be really dissapointed to find out it's no stripe.

Striped leopard geckos MUST have a broken neck band, striped body, and striped tail.

Maybe I just missed the post stating that the remainder of the funds owed were sent out.

Maybe I just missed the post where Bobby finally decided to take some responsibility for once in his life and do the right thing. Of course if he did... I suspect he still ONLY did so because he "got caught" and, like other bad guys before him, will correct situations once it's obvious that he has no popular support.

Even so, it was not Bobby Pruett who sent the money, and I agree with you that it was only sent at all because these two recognized that they were killing their reputations (what is left of Bobby's anyway) over $15 and some change. These types never change in any realy fashion.

I suspect that this will not be the last "Bobby Pruett -- Bad Guy" thread we'll be seeing on the BOI's pages!
 
Why does it matter if the refund was issued in relation to the misrepresented leopard gecko?

I feel that just because Jeanne got her refund does not give Bobby the right to misrepresent that leopard gecko does it?

This whole post started based on principle... he ripped off someone for $15... this gecko he has for sale is priced at $175.

I hope I didn't come across like I was attacking you David... but just because one bad deal is resolved, it doesn't mean that we should overlook another, not in my opinion at least.

And like the others have said... it's not like Bobby and Ty decided to do the right thing because they are good people and wanted to do what was "right", it was a feeble attempt to salvage an already trashed reputation.

I wonder if people would have the same reaction if Bobby had a "high yellow pastel wannabee" marketed as a true pastel (ball python)?

I feel that even though the leopard gecko is only a $175 animal the principle of the thing is what truly matters. The fact that it is another blatant misrepresentation is undeniable.
