    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just had a surprise clutch out of a snake I bought as a breeder for next breeding season the eggs looked alittle weird and see throughish spotty. There were 7 eggs 4 are nice and round but three are sagging and they smell a little funky I candled them and every one of them has strong veins. The three that are starting to get green patched. My question is are they bad or is there way to save them? My temp is 86.7F and humidity is about 85% I put a little more water in my substrate so it should go up a little. Any opinions would help.

Pics would be helpful...

If they are turning green they are most likely going bad...You don't mention how far along they are.

Your temp is a little on the low side and your humidity needs to be 100%.

I would agree with temp that shoud be around 88 to 89. humidity does not have to be 100% for the eggs 80% plus is fine. I have hatched many eggs in the 75 to 80% humidity with no problems and have never lost an egg yet.

I think you may get different answers on temps...88F-89F is certainly fine and I know quite a few people use that. Last season, I used 86F-87F with no issues so that temperature range shouldn't hurt them either. IMO, avoiding big fluctuations in temperature is the most important.

I agree, pictures would help. It almost sounds like the 3 are starting to mold. I've never had that problem, but I have heard of breeders sprinkling the mold spots with anti fungal foot powder to stop the mold spreading. Like I said, I've never done it, but maybe someone else will chime in with specifics.

Pics would really help. If it is a mold issue, u can spray rubbing alcohol on a paper towel and rub the mold off, it should kill the mold and evaporate long before it does any damage to the egg. If it even would damage the egg. If theyre rotting pull em out and toss em, but pics would really help us give u a sraight answer. :)
