    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If you were truly concerned (instead of just bent on criticism) you could either contact the site management and request that the thread be moved, or start a thread about the subject in the feedback forum.
I believe it is relevant here.

I think the shock and dismay for many who have posted here concerning the abuse and killing of this critter is genuine, it is for me.
In fact, it is incomprehensible to me that someone hearing about this would think the torture and killing was no big deal.

There are times when the deliberate infliction of pain on a critter by someone explodes into the media (remember Michael Vick?) Those times, this time, gives all of us who love critters a chance to reaffirm that such infliction of deliberate pain is wrong, is outrageous, and is deserving of the most serious of consequences.

It's obvious that it isn't about what's relevant or not, it's about deep-seated personal grudges and the lack of ability to let things go.

Not everyone's heard the story of the tortoise, and there's no way to guarantee they'd never be customers. Aside from the potential customer research factor, the BOI is also one of those things that will pop up in employer searches, etc. The reach of this forum goes far beyond buying and selling reptiles. People have a right to know what sort of person Ms. Ruger is, no matter who started the thread.
 
For someone saying that they are being attacked you aren't doing anything to help yourself out. The thread is needed, the people should be caned and you seem to be looking for an argument. No more need to clutter this thread with back and forth its getting off topic.

I am hoping for serious consequences for the two involved in the torture and killing.
I am hoping that readers are not derailed here, from what is really important.
 
Probably best not to feed the troll no matter how pitiful the creature appears to be.

That said, Whether or not this is an appropriate post for BOI, that is for the mods to decide.
