In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

On Friday December 7th we were contacted by Jasen Shaw of Global Exotics inquiring about purchasing large quantities of salamanders at wholesale pricing. We informed Mr. Shaw that we could within reasonable time (We had a few large orders to fill at once) complete his order. On Decemeber 17th we contacted him. Order was ready to go. Agreed on payment and offered him addditional discount due to quantity. Dec. 18th we shipped to Mr. Shaw 162 Marbled Salamanders, 145 Slimy Salamanders, 15 Dwarf Salamanders, and 10 Spotted via overnight delivery DHL. Value $1928.00. Due to mathematical error payment was $2028.00. Our shipment was recieved by Mr. Shaw. We were told Doa's of 9 -Two lined salamanders, 4-Slimy and 2-marbled. for total $44. Plus the overpayment of $100 so total was $1884.00. He asked us initially to credit him $144 on next order. We were notified by DHL via email that payment was sent by Jasen on Dec. 18th. When payment was recieved it was $2000 in money orders and $28 cash. However the money orders were made out to the wrong name and were not cashable by us. SO we immediately same day rushed back to DHL upon notifying him. He admitted bumbling and promised he would have payment back to us by Saturday so that we would have it on time for the Holiday. We also told him to deduct DOA's and overpayment. We have 4 sons, one of which is disabled and had surgery Tuesday. This money was ESSENTIAL for our children's Christmas. We had no reason not to trust him and believe mistakes do happen. Saturday-no payment. We are rural so drove into DHL to check. No payment. Contact Jasen via phone and Jasen says he will instead bank transfer on Monday (today) Christmas eve. Emailed ALL of Jasen's business addresses and tell him that is poor business, payment method will not work for us and payment is now past due. No response as of yet to any emails since Wed. the 19th. This morning via phone Jasen tried again to initiate a bank transfer however this is now an unaccaeptable payment method. We told him he had promised this would be to us on time for Holidays and suggested Moneygram or Western Union. Jasen agreed and said he was going to bank and would call us back. It's been a few hours now. Tried calling Global Exotics. They told us Jasen was out "taking care of stuff." SO we allowed him MORE time. It is now mid-afternoon of Christmas Eve and no response back to messages on his cell phone. We were just told via phone by Global Exotics that Mr. Shaw would be returning to the office in 30 minutes. However he will not answer his cell phone and obviously he will not be moneygramming from their office so i can only assume that once again he is not a man of his word. Even if we recieved payment there is nothing left in stores. I have zero tolerance. As far as I'm concerned Mr. Shaw has done nothing but play games with us. If we do not hear from Mr. Shaw or recieve payment by 5pm I will be filing with Arlington PD. Mr. Shaw also requested individualized invoices for the animals due to Texas law. I told him i would not issue amended invoices until payment was recieved. So-technically he is in violation in that regard as well.
Was just told Mr. Shaw would be back in the office in 15..I wonder if they get tired of lying for him? Miraculous how Mr. Shaw can answer the phone for the office but not us. It is now 4:35...our Christmas is guaranteed ruined and Mr. Shaw is conveniently nowhere to be found.

Do yourself a favour, avoid this guy.

Jasen and wife have resorted to yelling at us, we're trying to "ruin their reputation" and WE are going to be sued for slandering their good name. We have all our proof.

I find this sad... but interesting ?

Hmmmm...Very sorry for you.
I have a post on here also. Just have to see what happens I guess ?
Glad to se that someone else has "zero tolerance" for any kind of crap besides myself.

The Aussie who stole Christmas.....

Hahahaha......Whah Whah....my kids wont get a super duper 60" HD Super
charger.....Your margines are little thin.. :dgrin:

well I'll be

Jasen paid via western union for the amount owed. Not on time, but he did pay. Bottom line, do not have deadline.

BEFORE christmas...?

In my experience a electronic transfer could be sent today , however funds might not be availible until at least wednesday or thursday.
They post to your account as pending....takes at least 48 hrs or more to be able to actually be availible for use.

Us Global

Wow!!! I do feel for you man! However I do have to say in the 4 years I have been dealing with Mr. Shaw and His wife I have nothing but positive things to say. I have both sold animals to Us Global as well as purchased them ranging from small quantities to massive orders. I have always been able to reach them either on his personal or the work line, and if for any reason was not able to speak with Jasen I was given a return call or an email right back.

I have been in this business for 20 years and one of the things that stand out from the rest is the quality animals that they supply in my point of view. I know first hand of the shady scammers out there! I have been worked so to speak many times and have really paid the price on some of them. You run that risk doing business with anyone! But a shady person or scammer Jasen is NOT, I would take offence too if someone was slandering me as well!! I have no tolerance for that behavior! I do know that buy running a large business that it can become rather hard to get everything done when it is wanted to especially around the holidays, but rather do your best and be upfront with your clients and accidents and mistakes do happen it is human nature. I know what it is like to come up short in the holidays but material positions are not always what it is about in my opinion.... So to give my two freaking cents I will continue doing business with USGLOBAL EXOTICS and dismiss these situations.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

I was just wondering what you would have done for Christmas if you hadn't made a "huge" sale just prior. I understand your frustration at the payment situation but putting the Christmas deadline, as the end-all be-all, because of your kids seems a little much to me. If you're tight for money then you shouldn't be spending it on presents anyway. I may be wrong but it appears that if this happened in February, a few extra days trying to get the payment straightened out wouldn't have been a big deal. I don't think it is fair to label someone a bad guy because of the time or year they purchased from you.

I wonder if Mr. Shaw has received his individual invoices yet ? maybe manage your finances better if one deal makes or breaks your holiday season. I am glad you received payment. what if this sale never occured before x-mas ? then who would be at fault for ruining christmas ? In my opinion an apology would be included rather quickly. do you think he would buy from you again ?

sounds to me like they needed the money for christmas because other money that could have gone towards christmas ended up going towards the surgery one child just had.

I would be curious to know what the details of the money order mix up on the names consisted of. Did he mis-spell the name? Did you get the wrong person's check? If that was an honest error, I really don't think that the short delay of a day or so in rectifying the situation really warranted a bad guy thread.

Just my opinion from the info presented

Ron

That is incorrect. Wired funds initiated on Monday are almost invariably available on Tuesday (next business day). A delay is rare. A holiday would add one day at most
