In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tampa Bay Exotics or aka RICK LEVEROCK Bad Guy. I made an order threw TBE(Rick) and got a couple Brazilian Rainbow Boa Babies and Green Tree Python Babies. The Green Tree's were guaranteed to eat live unscented Pinks. Well they don't eat. The brazilians did eat but not the GTP. Well I went back and talked to him and he said he would only replace half of the cost of one GTP when I ordered 3. I just want to warn people from buying from him cause he will send you snakes that are suppose to be guaranteed and he will not replace them. SO PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM RICK.

I'm assuming he shipped these to you? How long have you had them? could there be a chance that the reason they're not eating is stress related due to shipping?

Yes sry must of forgot. I got them shipped to Ohio over 3 weeks ago. From Florida. Now He shipped them in some type of deli cup withOUT a perch. I have tried ever kind of feeding. I am not saying all his animals are bad but the GTP were. One out of the 3 has ate. But the other 2 have not. I have tried live, f/t, scented live, scented f/t. Nothing seems to work. His Brazilian Rainbow Boas came in great. All eating f/t no problem. Just the Green Tree Pythons were bad. I don't know if it is how they were shipped or not. It has been a while since they were shipped as GTP can get very stressed so I tried to feed them a week after they were shipped and then the next week. I have been discussing with him if we could get eating GTP but he said the only thing he could do is give me a Free Brazilian Rainbow Boa which is half the cost of a GTP from him. I don't want to have my post meaning he is a totally bad guy but might not know his stuff as to shipping and having some animals.

Well you have to realize that you're dealing with animals. Not a non working product. All of the other animals seem to be eating fine for you, he did not send you what you did not ask you for, he did not scam, he did not steal your money. So to deem him a !!!bad guy!!! because a snake is not eating seems a little harsh in my opinion. and it's only been 3 weeks. Patience.

I'm not sure about that. He guaranteed them to be "eating". And after 3 weeks of allowing them to calm down, they're still not eating, and he doesn't seem to be willing to honor the guarantee sufficiently.

A guarantee is a guarantee, and if 2 of the 3 are not eating as they were *guaranteed* to be, the seller should do something to remedy the situation, because the buyer doesn't have what was paid for.

Was that guarantee in writing or on the guy's website, or in an email? Hopefully it wasn't verbal, since that counts for pretty much nothing.

If the guarantee was in writing somewhere (do you have your communications? please post them), the seller should offer a refund to the buyer, or two FEEDING gtps. That's how it looks to me, anyway.

PS - Nate, to post on the BOI, you need to include your full name (last name included) in your profile, or in each post. Otherwise your posts will get deleted.

My username is my first and last name...Nathan Ledet = Nate L :) if that isn't good enough well then that just bites

(So.. if Ledet is your last name... it still has to be in your profile or signature.... sorry if that seems redundant but I don't think having it in your username is good enough, though I could be wrong... ;) )

I want to be certain Lauren, so I PM'ed Rich and asked if it was a violation of the TOS.

Sorry to hijack the thread.

back to what matters.

Of course it's good enough. Alot of people have their full name as their user name. It fits the rules.

It is very difficult to guarantee that an animal will eat once under the care of a different person. We’ve had healthy animals that will stop eating for not apparent reason only to resume several weeks later (although nothing had “apparently” changed in their environment). Subtle environmental changes may trigger a non-feeding mode. More drastic changes such of changing animals to a new environment or house can certainly result in a reptile going off-feed. All a seller can do is guarantee that the animal was feeding for him. This is fairly easy to verify by the buyer as depending on how long ago they were fed they will pass feces in their new location. Once the husbandry practices to which the animal will be subjected are out of his control IMO there’s no way he can guarantee a feeding response.

I have received established GTP's from well known breeders that did not eat for well over 3 weeks after shipping. This is not uncommon and not something to be alarmed by, IMO. It is definitely not something I would necessarily fault the seller for.

And by the way, every young GTP I ever received, arrived in a deli cup with no perch.

Ok I was just seeing if some more expierence shippers of GTP's knew if that could be the case. Now I also didn't mean to say he is a bad guy. Just couldn't edit it all after it was done. I am just warning people about the GTP from him. Everything else ate super good. The gtp still no go. 1 of them has ate but the other 2 are not. This can be deleted if you guys want or buried doesn't matter just seeing some opinions. Sorry for the inconvience.

John,
Maybe, just maybe,,,, the GTP is in a shed cycle??? (if so, it ain't gonna eat)
Let the snake settle down for awhile, and keep it's humidity up.

John, I've owned and shipped a number of these guys. Some will eat the day they arrive others take awhile.. Are these your first Chondro's ?? Baby GTPS are a lot different and touchier than sub adults and adults... If you get a chance stop over at the arboreal forum and we can discuss their care more in depth if you want... Randy
