This past weekend went camping with some co-workers up at Lake Oroville to do some boating, swimming and gold panning.

Didn't see much wildlife, a half dozen fence lizards, spiders, red tail hawk... but the biggest thrill was seeing a Bald Eagle! First time I've seen one in the wild, it was thrilling.

Sorry some of the pics are very blurry, he was far away and 10x digital zoom tends to blur things up.

He came in low along the lake, right by the side of our boat:

then up into the trees, we followed him down through about 3 roosting stops. Was hoping to see him go fish but alas it was not to be.

my favorite photo, he's flying in on the right side

Very nice! A good photo is an identifiable photo, so don't apologize! :) Most people don't manage to snap a few shots off at all.

Sweet! As far as photo is concerned, I suck at photography. I bet I could drop a camera and the pic would look better.

It's always so exciting to see such a gorgeous animal, especially when you least expect to see one! We have one who occassionally cruises through our neighborhood, the 1st time I saw him I almost peed myself, he flew right past me & up into a tree, scared the bejezzus out of me! We only see him out here every few months, but it's always such a thrill to see such a gorgeous animal! Nice pics! :)

Wow! How neat!
I've only ever seen one once and I couldn't even get a picture! :p Still, it's just so exciting spotting one~
