I have a snake habitat all ready for a snake, but don't actually have one yet. I'm a bit torn between a corn hatchling and a ball python hatchling. My setup is pretty simple;
I've got an exo-terra large and flat faunarium (10-gallon foot print at 1/2 the height);
a zoo-med UTH that cover 1/3 the bottom of the faunarium;
a HydroFarm thermostat and digital thermometer with probe for substrate temps;
a zoo-med analog thermometer and hygrometer for air temps and humidty;
2 half log hides, one cork bark round, and a medium exo-terra water dish;
and lastly, a bag of aspen snake bedding.
I live in a part of the country that never really gets below 40 percent humidity, and I could always throw in a tuperware full of moist sphagnum, so my basic question is, would I be okay with a ball python baby in this setup? I would of course upgrade to a real vivarium when they outgrew it.
