    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ball python snake room help.

I was thinking the same thing about the drafts, I wonder how the heck that would work! I was thinking 8x8 maybe 8x10 and just have the unit as far as I could. I wouldn't think that would a an issue but then again I have never done this before lol.
 
I actully think the rv is a good idea... Hmm... But again I think I am on board with not liking the idea of hauling the rv with the entire collection to shows. Hmm I might have to look on craigslist for a beater rv now!
 
but if you build you might as well go 15x15 or something large rather than just settling for 8x8 because if your already doing it then you might as well start large enough that you won't run out of room in the near future! Trust me my snake room is about 8x8 and you would not believe how fast that space fills up LOL!

thats why I recommend using some part of the house to get started and once you get to the point of having totes in random places then you can upgrade LOL. Trust me my fiance hates snakes but knows its my THING so I get away with murder pretty much since I sink almost every cent of my money into them haha. a month or so ago I got a call with a very stern voice saying DUSTIN RAY WHY IS THERE A SNAKE IN A TOTE UNDER THE COFFEE TABLE IN OUR LIVING ROOM. I was keeping it there temporarily for quarantine and she was upset because she said the snakes were over flowing from the snake room!!
 
Lmao! It gets hard to save up cash thou with a wife and kid. I shouldn't of view my cash on snakes before I had everything else setup lol! But I am a damn addict now!:dgrin:
 
ya I know how it goes everyone else on here can relate with you too. The problem is there is too damn many morphs to stop thinking about them. I feel like a damn mad scientist in a chemistry lab

Yep they sure do the 12 steps are sell you dog, sell your car, sell your house, and it goes on hahahaha I'm just kidding. I don't know I think there is only three steps. Get a job that supports the addiction, get a significant other who allows the addiction, and build a setup suitable to house the addiction thats how I feel about it.
 
As much fun as the RV idea sounds, I'm going to suggest working on the wife and keeping them indoors. Not only would you have to keep the RV under 24/7 climate control, but you don't want your expensive collection (they get expensive with a quickness!!) outside where someone could easily steal it.

This may have been suggested already, but take her to a show. Get her warmed up to reptiles with some colorful baby bearded dragons and then ease her into some baby ball pythons. Then when you get a snake room, your wife stays out of it and never sees what you sneak into it!! ;) ...not that there's anything in my snake room that my wife doesn't know about. :rolleyes:

We wouldn't sneak things into our snake room that the significant other doesn't know about would we!!! :rofl: Or you can always use the excuse of look what I traded for hunni but your collection keeps growing!!!
