    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello...look as if my male ball python finished his job...shows very little interest in the females now. He copulated many times...lost count.
First time was 12 dec.........now both females in shed?? is this to early for pre ovilation shed?
Should I wait till they both have shed and put the male in with them again??

Thanks in advance

You need to keep pairing them up until you see your female is ovulating. Most likely you still have a couple months to go.

mating of ball pythons

season : low end > sept. best months > start of nov through end of jan with the other low propogation period in feb. eggs can be laid with in march through july with peak in may / june.

Take the male out and keep him out for a while and then rotate him back in. No point having him in with them when they are opaque. They will retain sperm so it does not matter how many times you breed them or how close to ovulation you breed them. Your females will not begin to develope folicles until you go back to the standard heat/light cycle they are used to after your brumation/hibernation period is over.

so as long as they have bred several times, there is a really good chance the female will become gravid? is there any difference between rotating him in and out over a longer period of several moths, than leaving him with a female for a solid period of time, say a month? i know males can get exhasted from too much breeding, but how much is too much (generally)? thanks!

Often is you leave a pair together they will breed initially and then they will not breed anymore. They usually are stimulated to breed from the act of introducing the male to the females cage.
