Ballbids and I sincerely respect what you have posted, it does matter to us and we do appreciate and respect your opinion. You may very well be right about me being here not really helping but I want you to to know that certain people keep posting lies and false information about Ballbids. These lies have to be addressed at some point. Shaun33 writes that he does not want to hurt ballbids yet on the 12th of this month he is caught red handed asking for help in "taking down" Ballbids. Previously, every question answered to this guy and his few Say No friends were met with just more questions, lies, and innuendo about Ballbids on the internet. Ballbids is required to defend itself, both in public and in the legal system which unfortunately is a process that was required to begin. We will not allow for these liars to continue their attempts to interfere with our business without recourse. I had really thought that I could come here and have quality discussions relating to the factual current situation with some of the reasonable minded people in membership here. The truth is what most people want to hear. There are the few that do not and as such they take their position at any and all cost.

This doesn't have the same tone as mr. byers. It has the flavor of little zackeroni though. I suppose they are rather interchangeable.

Either way, it's full of a half-witted halfhearted attempt to deflect any inquisition about the questionable antics of ballbids. It's terribly unsuccessful, but it is a study in megalomania.

Mark, do you have these responses written down somewhere and are just copying and pasting as needed? Honestly, I don't own ball pythons, don't care to, don't care about your business or anything else related to this thread. What I can see, and anyone else with just a small amount of common sense can see as well, is that you are making a complete fool of yourself. Anyone who has read threads like these on the BOI for any period of time can see a bit of a pattern forming when someone can't viably defend themselves. Much like you, many people start making circular arguments and just repeating some either petty or completely irrelevant issue and avoid addressing any questions presented to them. As is the case here, people who don't have the truth behind them start trying to sound smarter than they are. I'm not sure if you believe you're so smart that you can fog the windows here, but if you do believe that, I think you're being a bit delusional.

I know this won't elicit any other response than you saying that you just came here to discuss lies told about ballbids or you posting that very tired link that you refuse to actually post the contents of. But I figured I would come on and give an outsider's opinion.

The people that have qualms with ballbids have posted their proof. We have their side of the story, I think it's time for you to actually post up some evidence other than your little link. If this was a trial and it was time for you to present your client's defense, it'd be a pretty sad state of affairs at this point.

Basically, what I'm trying to get to, is quit posting the same confused mess and address the questions that have been presented. Maybe I'll be surprised and you'll take some heed here. I somehow believe that I won't be, though.

Get the law your self, Why you go into any REPUTABLE business they have their licenses on the Wall displayed to save the hassle of being asked to see it.

All business licenses must be displayed on the premises. For those businesses not having a fixed address, the license must be physically carried on the person while conducting business and presented upon request.

Mark, again, you did not catch me red handed with anything. Just cause you say something doesn't make it true. Its funny how you think, that just cause you say it not true then it it isn't and we have to believe you. This whole mess would of been avoided if Ballbids either A. showed license, or B, been professional and answer like a adult, why and links to show he doesn't. But what happens, you wait 6 months to try to confirm if a email is real or not. They were called and was told that emails are deleted after a certain amount of time. So it is quite possible that Marilyn is a busy lady and forgot about it cause I have emailed her the end of May and she acted like she forgot. And I got those emails too. Even has the font and the colors of her signature. See they claim stuff is fake when it doesn't agree with them.

Mr Byers, you want facts, then let's look at the facts:

- Your son, Zach came to multiple reptile forums and was banned for not following the rules or disruptive behavior. None of this had anything to do with Ballbids. In fact, I know that Zach was banned from BP.Net, and here for infractions that had nothing to do with Ballbids. I've read his words. There is no dispute that he behaved badly in the online community. He attacked others, showed disregard for basic ball python husbandry and thumbed his nose at the "reptile community".

- Zach, when he first started posting on reptile forums (only months before starting Ballbids) had very little knowledge of the husbandry of Ball Pythons. He thought that several ball pythons thrown into a tank together was fine.

- Zach and Avi posted multiple times that penny auctions were associated with scams, but everyone should trust this penny auction.

- When Ballbids was launched, the terms of service did not match up with anything the owners of the site claimed. There was no live delivery guarantee, etc.

-Ballbids claimed to have an association with a major breeder which they did not in fact have.

-Ballbids when launched claimed in their marketing banners to have sold very expensive snakes for pennies, when in fact they had not sold a single animal. When confronted with this fact, Zach and Avi claimed it was just marketing.

- When many people in the reptile community came out against the penny auction of ball pythons, you started defending Ballbids on multiple forums.

-Ballbids has been plagued with questionable auctions where there are delays and various "server" problems. Ballbids has refunded money because the site seems to have a series of different problems that they can not get under control.

-When you, Zach or your programmer are asked questions, your response quickly results in questioning the integrity, character and ethics of the ones asking questions.


Please let me know if any of the above facts are not accurate. I really fail to understand why you continue to come to reptile forums to pick fights if your business is upstanding, legal and above board. If that is the case, then ignore all of us and just run your business. If there are really lies, slander, libel and other torts against your business, then by all means use the legal system to remedy those, but leave the rest of us alone.

Exactly. Ballbids people divert the questioning away from the problems with Ballbids and initiate ad hominem conversations. When someone from this site writes a particularly thoughtful and damning post of Ballbids, it is quickly buried and I believe intentionally by manipulative posts by the Ballbids crew.
Yesterday, I went back and read the entire thread from the beginning. There is a huge amount of misbehavior by Ballbids documented here, and I believe that is why Mark persists in his little chitchats with individuals, in order to bury those posts.
I believe, as I said before, that the best favor one can do for those who might not have seen the seamier side of Ballbids is to post a link to this thread everywhere, and allow folks to read this entire thread. It's an eye opener.

Avi created the ad banners that are deliberately misleading. It's been pointed out multiple times that starting off your business with a blatant lie is a bad idea. Instead of accepting that and admitting any error on his part or changing the ads, he continues to say it was "just marketing". That's what I KNOW about Avi. What I THINK is that this makes him sound like someone who has no scruples about doing whatever it takes to promote his business and make his money. Regardless of the ethics of the situation, he'll find a way to justify it.

I know a little bit more about Zack. Zack showed up at BP.net last year and got himself into a bit of trouble due to a very short fuse and lack of social skills. Nothing inherently wrong with that. It happens. Not everyone is cut out for online communities. A bad temper doesn't make one a bad guy, even if it is a common symptom of bad-guy-ism.

BUT...after things didn't go his way, Zack broke the rules of the site to start a new account with a new name. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and dealt with it and he continued to be allowed to participate if he wished.

NOW...he comes back to BP.net with yet another account. An account he darned well knows was against our rules for him to create. That account was banned, and he was warned to use his original account and to not create another. But he ignored that warning and posted again from yet another account. Now he is permanently banned from BP.net.

If he can't follow the VERY simple rules of my site, what makes me think he will bother following whatever rules he sets up for his own site.

I wouldn't trust either of these guys as far as I could throw them. Even if they ARE trying to run a legitimate business, the character traits they demonstrate here give NO confidence that they'll actually be able to follow through with reliable customer service. And if customers start getting crappy service, you can BET (a gamble you're sure to win this time) that you'll get nothing but hot-tempered arguments from Zack, and calm collected justifications from Avi.

I don't believe that many people associated with Fauna would appreciate such behavior, especially in lite of the truth about the lies that have been exposed by some associated with this webpage.
