Their terms are pretty clear, yet at no point do they state that live arrival is guaranteed or that they will replace an animal if it dies in shipping for reasons other than the buyers fault.
With terms like that, why would anyone waste their time?

WHat is all this $95 pages on crap? If someone wants to pay to bid, and take part in penny auctions for snakes, who cares?
If someone can prove that they are rigging the bids, then thats a legal matter and it should be pursued by legal means.

And besides that, ballbids.com sucks. So who cares at this point. 95 pages of nonsense that shows that EVERYBODY involved is ridiculous.

I disagree. I believe some of the poor behavior shown here could have and should have been avoided. However, I do believe that valid concerns in the reptile community about a vendor have a place on the BOI and should be shared here for the benefit of others.

I honestly cant read all 95 pages of this. SO what is the main concern? That they are rigging the auctions by having friends bid at the last moment to win the snake?

And whats all this legal talk? cease and desist letters? Is there any way anyone could give me the short version of whats going on here?

What I have read looks pretty ridiculous and it certainly doesnt seem to be coming from a vendor with a very proffessional attitude. I'd say whatever rep they had, they killed.

Okay, so far as Ive gotten, their banner ads were lying, which they dont outright admit to but use fancy terms to justify it. They said they had sold snakes at minimalistic amounts when nobody had even won a single auction yet. That's pretty shady and I dont even see how thats legal.
My impression so far is that they find legal loopholes and exploit them. Business wise thats smart, but its not very ethical. " banner ads, as I've mentioned, are designed to give our visitors an idea of the possibilities, which, in fact, are real possiblities once we are able to develop our user base some more."

I'd like to see how some of those possibilities have panned out...

The reason threads are kept here is so guys like you can FIND OUT FOR THEMSELVES what happened. If you're unable, or too lazy to read it, perhaps your commentary is not necessary.

While you have summed up the basic points of their lying cheating ways, you really should do your own homework and not try to copy off those who HAVE read and contributed to the thread.

Funny!...but is quite apparent you just do not know the actual legal situation but don't feel bad on that, neither do some directly involved. But I do...so don't worry about that. I do appreciate the concern.

I do know and I have been a PI in the past and worked in Internet security. It was more for my own hosting company I learned it all. But I will Be looking farther into this.

But I do know if you truly had a lawyer on your side he would be telling you to shut your trap. Because you are ruining any case you MAY have had.

None of my concern really but I just have some questions that need answered.

Oh IP 101.... IP mean nothing.... They are shared a lot. Block IPs..... The time you have a person that buys bids and you block an IP and they can not use them said bids... Now that would be a fun law suit..... lol

Sorry but you must have missed the Ballbids Live Arrival Guarantee clearly indicated in the Terms and Conditions. That guarantee has always been there. The Breeders ship directly to the winners so there is no difference than buying directly from the Breeder except Ballbids furthers that guarantee to ensure if there were ever a problem with a Breeder, Ballbids still stands behind the consumer. Buying the way you see fit is certainly fine but posting the correct information should be important.

Just check out Ballbids Youtube Channel. Ballbids has nothing to hide. All winners have been very happy with their snakes. Many have posted videos. Not one person that has won was ever known to Ballbids in advance. They are all just customers from all over the US. Like this company or not, these haters here should not make up lies about Ballbids and try to misinform people of the truth.

If ANY of you actually have an attorney on retainer who is aware of what you are posting here and has NOT dropped you as a client, then I highly recommend that YOU drop him or her as your attorney. Because it is obvious that he or she is dangerously incompetent. The very first thing an attorney is going to tell you when retained is to SHUT THE HELL UP about the case and let him or her deal with making statements and replying to statements made from the other party from then on. If he or she did not tell you that, and allows you all to still spout off with stuff that is going to jeopardize his or her legal representation of you, then I'm afraid you apparently retained one that was taking the short bus to law school.

Now if you WERE told to ZIP IT by your attorney, and you still come onto public sites posting the kindergarten level crap you are posting here, well any REAL attorney would drop you like a red hot potato and tell you to find other representation. Each time I have come to post here on relevant topics which required addressing, the same people jump in with the same “redundant” hateful speech and verbal attacks that have no merit and do not apply to the subject at hand. In no uncertain terms, I was even told by a BIO Monitor that if I didn't like it here than I didn't have to stay. This thread has always been known to be hostile towards anyone associated with Ballbids.com but in fairness, it never should have been allowed to be utilized as the platform to spread the lies and hate that it has. You will notice in this thread that I finally received the written retraction relating to a member posting "an external link" and associating my name with a known criminal even though he knew it was not true before posting the link. The member posting this link attempted this in another internet forum against Marty a couple of months ago and was caught and set straight as to who that link does and does not apply to. They know it does not apply to Marty or me so that member already knew this information before posting that link on this thread for the purpose of using this platform to disparage Marty's or my name. Interestingly his post begins with he was "told to post it".
Unfortunately, that same member has been referencing criminal associations which he knows not to be true, by posting also that same "external link" directly against Marty. Marty should have the right to defend himself here. Whether you agree or not with Marty's format for defense, the fact remains that the format is no different than what the member has done here. And if this thread is to allow any form of intentional misinformation, insinuation, and innuendo to be posted than there should be no complaints from anyone all parties should be treated fairly.
As for the Ballbids Attorney, thank you for your concern but you can be assured that the internal structure of Ballbids LLC has been well established and organized to ensure any legal process's would never be compromised by anything that I do, or say. I do however, wonder why anyone in this hostile environment would ever concern themselves with that subject unless they are just looking for more misinformed things to talk about in this Hate Thread.

Shaun did send the cease and desist letter I had requested earlier to me last night via email, which also contained the name and website of the Ballbid's attorney. I sent the attorney (Timothy P. Powderly, [email protected]) a link to this thread, because I believe he would neither condone nor permit the kind of behavior I have seen here, from a client.

Great Work, I am sure Mr. Powderly cares what you say! ~ Now if you knew anything of particular importance as to how Ballbids is structured you would really be a wise person. But you don't so in relation to this issue you are not a wise peson. You are a hater like the few others in here.

Sure you do Lucille, you have fostered lies and hate in this thread since shortly after you opened it. You position is well known by any readers. If there has even ever been a valid concern in this thread I have not seen it. Ballbids stands on its own with its own customer base who enjoy the business model and opportunity Ballbids offers. Most are from within the community. One would think that all of the alleged quality breeders the members say are in here would want to sell their snakes. This entire thread makes no business sense for any breeder needing to sell inventory so I find it unlikely that there are many like your thread would want people to think. Heck, there aren't even very many of you coming out to bash. It is all the same few names. And all of this could have been avoided if a member did not post an external link to some alleged criminal and insinuate that that person had a connection to me or Marty. I got my issue resolved with him last night. But it looks like the hatred is so bad that Marty has not gotten his issue resolved so I see he is handling his issues the way he see fits. Marty does not answer to Ballbids. He is his own man and deals with his problems the way he sees fit. I can say this about Marty, he is a very good programmer and has significant knowledge and he is a good guy. Like most people though, I would assume that he would not exhibit that part while he deals with this lying BS that has been posted in this thread about him.
