In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry BallBids.com?

Correct me if I'm wrong but people have been asking about Avi well it appears he still has connections with Ballbids as far as the Florida LLC states him as the owner. That is how I read it anyway I could be wrong. But if that is the case it appears he is the only "smart" (and I use that term loosely) out of the bunch because he actually knows how to keep his mouth shut. Maybe he will wisen up and realize that the people he is doing business with are going to ruin his name more than they already have.

Here is some info:

For U.S. federal income tax purposes, an LLC is treated by default as a pass-through entity.[4] If there is only one member in the company, the LLC is treated as a “disregarded entity” for tax purposes, and an individual owner would report the LLC’s income or loss on Schedule C of his or her individual tax return. The default tax status for LLCs with multiple members is as a partnership, which is required to report income and loss on IRS Form 1065. Under partnership tax treatment, each member of the LLC, as is the case for all partners of a partnership, annually receives a Form K-1 reporting the member's distributive share of the LLC's income or loss that is then reported on the member's individual income tax return.
An LLC with either single or multiple members may elect to be taxed as a corporation through the filing of IRS Form 8832.[5] After electing corporate tax status, an LLC may further elect to be treated as a regular C corporation (taxation of the entity’s income prior to any dividends or distributions to the members and then taxation of the dividends or distributions once received as income by the members) or as an S corporation (entity level income and loss passes through to the members). Some commentators have recommended an LLC taxed as an S-corporation as the best possible small business structure. It combines the simplicity and flexibility of an LLC with the tax benefits of an S-corporation (self-employment tax savings).[6]

Just as an intuitive guess (I am not an expert in tax law), I would think that federal state and local governments might be delighted with multiple claims of the same income by different companies since each government entity might be able to tax the same funds.

I don't think it illegal to have LLCs in 2 states but what I have read is that they are responsible for taxes for both states and have to follow the rules and regulations of the state.

Recently I have seen several people suggest that the main reason for opposing BallBS is the effect on market value. I am just a hobby breeder. I decided early on that rather than pay $1000 for a BEL it would be a better experience to buy a Mojave and a Butter and make my own BEL. The same goes for the Ivory I will one day own. Any sales I make will just go to support the Breeders I keep. Therefore I am not the least bit concerned with market value. I recently posted on my Facebook page explaining MY main reasons for continuing this campaign against BallBS. I am sharing that post with everyone here now. I hope this helps clear up why I personally have continued to post here.
I will state exactly why I oppose Ballbids. 1) The entire reptile community is currently under attack and the media has proven that they will use any half-truth or outright falsehood to further their agenda and ratings. Therefore anything that can shine a negative light on my hobby, I oppose. 2) Ballbids is a penny auction site. Penny auctions are really nothing more than games of chance. Offering a live animal as a prize in a game is ridiculous. Would anyone support a site raffling off dogs or cats? NO! 3) The last time I was allowed to see the actual auction site, there was no information offered about caring for or housing these animals. Bringing newbies in without explaining how to take care of their animals is a poor business approach. 4) They will not tell where these animals come from. I personally would not buy an animal without knowing who bred it. 5) The site has had problems since it's inception. I have seen numerous posts about timer lags, many of which are blamed on the customers computer. The rest are blamed on those of us who oppose the site "attacking" the server. If any of us were going to attack their server would it not make more sense to crash the whole thing then make the timer act funny? Actually I would think crashing the site would probably be simpler too. Either way it seems that if the programmer can not keep the site functioning the way it is supposed to, something is wrong. 6) I have personally been on the receiving end of their poor excuse for customer service as well as seen others treated poorly and talked down too. To me when a business receives a negative comment they should address it in a respectful and professional manner, not deleted it or trash talk the complainer. 7) Originally there was some question of legality. Rather than showing their license to legally run an auction they repeatedly stated "there is a license but it is up to you to find it." Most businesses would gladly show their license rather than have a prolonged and public argument over it. 8) Here on Facebook, as well as several reptile forums, I have witnessed all three individuals involved with this company try and shift attention from the valid arguments by shouting that those of us who share my opinion are nothing but liars and miscreants. Never mind that we continually catch them in bold-faced lies. The only proof they ever show is on a page authored by one of them that we are banned from even seeing. I have actually been to this page and it is full of statements taken out of context and never actually addresses any of the issues I've raised here. 9) I have witnessed these guys on the forums treating breeders like they know nothing and generally acting like a bunch of juveniles. It doesn't matter which forum you go to, the posts all look pretty generic coming from these guys. Basically stating if you don't agree with us you are either a liar or just plain trash. I am sure I have missed some good points but at least I have put my views out there for anyone to see. Personally I would like to see somebody from their side come over and discuss any of these points with something more than "You are a Liar". But so far nobody besides their programmer and the owners father have even bothered to post a comment in their defense.

I'm really shocked there even trying to still get ballbids off the ground. You would think they would cut there losses and move on. The rep is trashed and they have no business sense at all. I really think he loves the drama and feeds off all the BS that is going on right now.

Unfortunately it looks like he is planning on milking the few people he does have fooled for as long as he can.

Wow. Anyone watch the female bumble bee auction that just ended tonight? There was a good bidding war for the last few minutes (you know...when it keeps refreshing to 15 seconds every time someone bids) and then...what do you know...it freezes AGAIN and no one else can bid. So the person who has the auto bid thing setup ends up winning. Such crap. This is the most bogus criminal system I have ever seen.

The bidding only crept up to $1.08. Like I said, there was a good bidding war bouncing around. It would hit a few seconds left then a few people would bid. But it got to 8 seconds this one time...it lagged for about a minute where no one could do anything and then oh hey someone won and it's over. Hahaha. Why is the person that won upset? I didn't see this

Because they don't really win. They return all the bids and re-auction it at a later time. I'm sure Marty and Mark and Zack will call it another "attack".

More likely - it froze since they weren't making any money on it, or they've got a an incompetent programmer.

This is exactly what I said on their facebook page. I have been banned for it. I think they have some kind of reserve set on these animals to be honest and there is a few fake buyers to insure the animal goes no where unless they hit the reserve. They had said something a long the lines that they were sorry to their "valued" customers for the recent "attack" and so on. I asked when enough was going to be enough and when they would "value" their "valued customers" before they did their personal interests in this business model. They replied that they don't need my negative input as I am not even a customer and banned me. I just wanted a legitimate response you know.

Dad should be here any time to refute the obvious and bury the most recent flub under twenty pages of tail-chasing.

I can't help but feel a little sorry for the customers who haven't at least gotten a little suspicious by now of all these re-auctions. It's happened way too many times now to be mere coincidence and I don't believe for a second that any of it has to do with attacks or anything else from an outside source.

That's not surprising. That's their business model. Delete all negative comments and ban the user - so that their "fans" can't see the real truth and real people unhappy with their "business model".

They can't handle the heat, so the just ban folks instead and call it negativity. That's why Say No was born - because they thought they could silence real people's questions and concerns.

And that is exactly the way they have always handled negativity. As long as the can keep enough suckers to keep making money that's the way it will stay.
