• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Inquiry BallBids.com?

If you guys wouldn't leave ***sniffle***, I could make more bank off of "fools and their money are soon parted" mentality....***sniffle***. But so many of you have wisened up and don't play any more...***sniffle***...it's just not FAIR!!!

I'm not sure it's exactly ironic, but has anyone else noticed that everyone involved with this company has a strong tendency to hoist themselves on their own petard by telling the truth when trying to cover and save face? "the savings are ridiculously low" is one of the most honest things they've ever posted, but they meant the exact opposite.

on second thought, it is pretty ironic.

so how many people were bidding tonight?

Because if they are not manually stopping the time and if they are not getting attacked only when the prices are too low, then Harald is right. Their servers can't take it. Their servers can't take how many bidders? Imagine if there were two auctions going on. Forget the freeze. Probably end up shutting down a whole city block with their 10 bidders or what not.

At the end it looked to be no more than 10 or 12 different bidders, the majority of the bids came from 2 different users.

So unless they are running on really cheap & outdated servers (could be) I don't see that as being an issue.

When the timer "froze" the bidding was at $2.26, depending on who bough what bid packages; let's use. 85 as an average cost per bid, the total they would have received for a "$500" (online found one for $300, at a show can get one for around $225) would have been roughly $195. So if they actually $500(which I doubt) they had the potential to lose a chunk of change.

I find it more likely that the timer was manually stopped & the auction ended due to a low bidder turn out. If only 2 people are bidding, the price will only go so high before someone quits, because they would be spending more on the bids than the snake is actually worth.

You lyin', scum o' the earth, you! (see attached screenshot)

My guess on the new fanpage is that they created it since Rich was asking where these people congregate to pat ballbs on the back, and since Mark couldn't produce something, they're now working on fabricating it. I'm sure it had more to do with a mass email to registered customers offering free bids for glowing reviews than it does with anything else. And of course, they claim good or bad is okay, but we all know the life of a critical post will be practically zero.

I'm thinking that their increased efforts to try to paint themselves in a better light come not only from their suspicious technical woes but also from the fact that this thread has had almost 60,000 views and it may be that readers are cluing in their friends.
It's an old saying that you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

They still seem to be avoiding answers to real questions by replying with invective, it seems as if that is now their default behavior when real questions are asked about the hanky panky that seems to be occurring on their site..

I looked for them there but did not find them.

I do believe you have to be a customer to lodge a complaint with the BBB & none of us here are so foolish with our money to risk it.

Nope, dont need to be listed or a customer to report a business. If you have all the information they will do the rest. Most listed on BBB are companies that registered with the site or paid for it to get reviews and so on.

Ive used it many times on companies not validating their Warranties, and its helped

Good to know. Thanks Rich.

Well, judging from that last screenshot, Zack is in full used-car salesman mode. His background in that and insurance sales is starting to shine through. ..."I'm a REALLY honest guy...you can trust me.....I wouldn't take advantage of you". Really? C'Mon man!

Why has no one questioned the fact that the only auctions that freeze are the ones for ball pythons?

If the "haters" are "hacking" their site, wouldn't the "haters" freeze all their auctions?

They are going as far now to make a post with straight lies, to have customers Report any page against them. How low can you get to report anyone against you. Cant have everyone like you in this world, be a man and move on the right way. What are they so afraid of to have to make posts like this!:shrug01:

I saw that, pretty childish if you ask me, but look at who is posting it ... a young "man" who has had things handed to him his whole life.

They are losing customers every day, llike Phil who are starting to see the writing on the wall. Soon, they will be losing more customers than new ones are joining, which will collapse their business.

Knowingly exposing their clueless followers to webpages where they can actually read some semblance of truth? They're clearly praying that they don't bother to read it, and just blindly report it to FB. "Desperation is a stinky cologne.", and that move fairly reeks of it.

The sad part is that it may actually work, at least as far as having "Say NO" removed. At this point, if BallBS supporters can't see that things seriously don't add up, it's hard to see it as anything other than them having made a conscious choice to remain blissfully ignorant. People love a cause. And I think that the kind of people that'd support BallBS, are likely the kind of people that don't mind having their "facts" spoon fed to them. Thinking is so overrated, especially when it may lead to talking yourself out of the slight chance at winning a cheap morph BP.

Ballbids is getting desperate, pointing fingers at everyone else in the hopes that no one will look too closely at their poor business practices....
