Just took the time to actually look at his ads. Apparently anything he touches becomes the greatest example of that morph available. REALLY?! Cocky much?

Not only that, but they get their names transformed.

Yup...but the way you posted makes it look like that's what he told Rich, and Rich went along with it. Somehow, I doubt that is the case.
Regardless of whatever he said, I suspect that your explanation is probably a better reflection of the truth.
