    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i got a pastel male an i want like $200 for him he is 300 somethin grams when my snake friend brought her scale over last. i also have two sibling albino carryer a male an a female i will not sell them together cuz they are related. both are born in 2005 but are kinda slow growers and eaters so are only like 300 grams same as the pastel. they are good eaters dont get me wrong i just dont feed em that often maybe once a week so yah. i got pics of them all but of course the carriers dont look like anything special. the pastel is nice and is looking brighter all the time so maybe will continue looking better and better. so yah i want 300 for the pastel and 500 for the carrier female and 150 for the carrier male. i have a guarantee on the genes of them too and can make and sign and notarize and all that on an invoice or guarantee or something. email me at [email protected] if your interested ill get back to you quickly. oh yah and shipping is included and i ship with heat as its winter. these guys will make a great last minute xmas gift? oh yah and prices are "or best offer" thanks for lookin

Wow, 2005 animals that are only 300 grams??? I have animals hatched in VERY late 2005, not powerfed...smallest one (who was a slow starter) is about 700g. Where did you get the albino "carriers"?

Cat i know sometimes it seems that an older animal should be up to a certain "standard" in weight. But i would not go by that or put that upon someone as a bad thing , if you go into collections you will see many "maintenance" fed as I like to call them , that are perfectly fine , snakes that are fed small meals every 7-10 days. I beleiv ethat methond with raising snakes is much better , keeps them hungry , and allows them to grow slower , with better muscle tone. I will say i have 3-4 year old females in my collection from 1200grams - 1800 grams , virgins.

Derek, my animals are fed one meal a week..one reasonable sized meal. I honestly don't see how an animal that is over a year old is only 300 grams. I certainly don't expect them to be 1000 grams....but 300 grams??

It might be on the smaller side , but as I said , I would not put that alone against someone.

wow i was told this was a good place to sell stuff cuz people were nice. i am so freaking sorry i dont talk like a profesor with a degree and you know what my spelling is just fine i just dont use . , etc
i dont have a scale so i am guessing at the weights all i know is i have had em like a year or so and they are small but then again i do not feed a lot like i said. and excuse me for the typo i suppose you have never mis typed or mis spoken something in your life huh jerk. i said shipping comes with the price if you actually read what i said and didnt just skim and then go right away into judgeing mode. so sorry i am only 19 and not 40 and overeducated like all you. give me a break. the carriers were given to me by my best friend who told me bout this place and said theres nice snakes and people here. shes like some big time breeder i guess she has a lot of all different kinds. she says they are from a albino and a wild kind

Just a few pointers for you.

1) Hit the shift key every once in a while, especially at the beginning of a sentance. Proper grammer adds a lot to your credability.

2) Do not use the words cuz, like, and umm in your ad. You want to be taken serious as a seller and those do not help.

3) Pictures really help when selling. People like to know what the animal looks like, especially pastels.

4) Your first post would have been better spent in the introduction forum and not on an add.

These are just to try to help you. I am not trying to be mean.

People do not come here to buy snakes from people who don't know what they are talking about...

Please go and find out more about your animals before trying to sell them. You will not be taken seriously until you do, as well as type complete and legible sentances.

Just because you are 19 doesn't mean that you have to be undereducated.
 
Well consider everyone that didn't want to buy her snakes have done ruined this ad I suggest you start a new one and pm a moderator of the site and have this one deleted. Everyone is different people and they don't have to have perfect grammar or perfect typing skills. She prolly got the snakes as a gift from a friend and don't want them or something. So let her sell them. I am sorry that I am posting this but I am trying to help you out blufreakgirl. So I suggest you did what I said in this post it will be for the best.

If her ad were a bit clearer to begin with, many of these comments would not have been made. 2 different prices are given for the same snake? "Carriers?" :shrug01:

It's just difficult for someone to spend that kind of money and trust someone who doesn't appear to even know what they have.
 
With all due respect to those who replied; when you reply to offer advice on grammar and sentence structure, perhaps it's best not to do so unless you are adept at the tasks yourself. :)

That's just a few and a couple of the words were misspelled in more than one post, sometimes by more than one person; I'll leave the rest of the grating grammar alone as the point is made.

As for the term 'carrier,' it is actually quite a common term; it is very often used with albinism in other animals. After all, does the 'het' not carry the albino gene?

I can understand being wary of an ad, and I can understand giving well-meaning advice. However, to make fun of a person because she used a term that is widely known and has been used much longer than the term 'het'... well... 'nuff said. She obviously knows what she has or she wouldn't have been close in her pricing. Not everyone who is into reptiles is on forums, nor do all breeders feel the need to sell online or put their collection and/or hobby into the public eye. I doubt anyone really had trouble understanding the terms used; it looks like it was more of an attempt to blast her and make fun of her for not using het or heterozygous. If you truly didn't understand the term carrier, maybe it's time to go back and learn what heterozygous means in the world of science, rather than just breeding reptiles.

* Maybe let us know who referred you to sell them here? A reference would be a good thing for you right now.

I hope you won't be turned off too badly; there are lots of good folks here, even the ones whose replies might not have seemed so kind at the time.
 
Denise, she said herself that she doesn't know what they weigh, or how old they are. I would call that not knowing for sure what she's got. :shrug01: And though the prices may be "close", it really depends on their age and size. When you post 2 different prices, $100.00 apart, for the same snake in one ad, well...it is rather confusing, even disregarding the poor writing.

Then saying that they are small because she doesn't feed them a lot.....it just all raises lots of red flags for me. Then refusing to name the breeder, only saying she's a "big time breeder"? All of that, combined with the unusual term for hets..I've only seen the carrier term used in horses personally...it just doesn't add up well for me.
 
My post was in part to show her how absolutely weird HER post looked. The fact that she responded that way shows that SHE wouldn't buy from someone posting like that.
I do have typos. Got scar tissue in my hands, and I get in a rush and don't re-check sometimes. I have a HIGH-SCHOOL education. But I will not post a ad talking like a dim-witted valley girl, with "yaah" and "like" and "cuz" in it.
You want to be taken seriously,a nd want people to respond to your favorably? Try acting like an adult. You are 19. More than old enough to act mature.
Did we act harsh towards her? Yeah, danged right. But at 19 trying to sell a albino carrier on a site known to be serious hobbiests, she should have at least tried to sound like a responsible seller. If she can't put that small amount of effort in, then she doesn't deserve to be treated with the respect that someone who puts up a good ad complete with information, consistant prices and pictures.
My advice? Get this thread deleted. Post a second ad. If you cannot weigh them, take pictures with a dollar bill in the picture for referance, so people can guess at their size. Maybe measure how long they are? Give a CONSISTANT price for each snake, and perhaps a group price if someone wants to buy all three. If they are indeed from a "big time" breeder, tell who it is, to lend crediability to the fact that the normals are indeed carriers of albino. No offense, but no one here knows you from Adam's cat, and will not trust that you 'know' its one.
You may have been offended by the tone in my posts, but I am offended that you chose to act like a eight-year-old and posted like one too, then want everyone to treat you like a serious seller.
