    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Banana? High yellow? Confused

I have acquired two kingsnake babies. They are being sold to me as high yellow, but I am confused as to if high yellow is a term used with kings, or if they are banana kings, or even high white (though they are more yellowish than white). Here are pics (please excuse the bluriness o9f the second pic). Also, how much are hatchling kings such as these usually sold for?

The first one looks like a high white individual and the second looks more like a reverse stripe.

As far as worth, check ks and here and see what they're going for. 75.00 and up maybe, for the high white and 50.00 and up for the reverse stripe. That's what mine will be when they hatch out.

You may have snakes that are mixed coastal and desert lines which can lead to babies that are white that turn yellowish as they mature. I am calling these, as I too produce them, ivories. Nice and white when young and yellowing with age, and of mixed blood.

I think Banana vs high yellow is just a percentage thing, with banana's being the 85%+ category, at least that is how I've always used them. High whites are from the desert line of CA kings that are black/white instead of black/yellow, not to be confused with the brown/yellows LOL, different morphs though, than what you have. Different names are also used, as Wes pointed out that second one is commonly called a reverse stripe, but it can also be called a banana IMO. The color in that first one is kind of hard to tell, but it does look more "creamy" or to the white side, as Wes also mentioned, so I would agree it might have at least some desert influence. If it is more yellow than the photo appears that would be one of the most yellow bananas (percentage wise, not color intensity) I have ever seen. The whites have been able to reach higher percentages than the yellow/banana's but I haven't kept up with them the past two years, so don't know how high they have gotten the past couple years.
