    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Was just having a discussion with a member concerning banner advertising statistics and I thought I would share what I found...

Well, I guess this site is doing pretty well bringing eyes to advertisers. I just checked the stats on my FaunaAds site and found the following:

For the 120 x 600 vertical banner in the right hand column, each advertiser there is averaging 5,000 views per day, which means 150,000 views per month, 1.8 MILLION views per year.

For the 120 x 60 sponsor ads right below the vertical banner, those advertisers are getting an average of 85,000 views per day, which comes to 2.5 MILLION views per month, 30 MILLION views per year.

And they are visible EVERYWHERE on this site....

All for just 50 cents per day, $15 per month (30 days), $182.50 per year (365 days).

I don't know for certain, but that sure sounds like a real deal to me.... :shrug01:
 
I don't consider views when choosing to advertise, only click through rate. If no one is clicking (or blocks them entirely), views don't do you any good.

Yeah, but the more views you get, the more likely it is that you will get clicks. The views HAVE to come before the clicks. I'm providing the eyes. YOU have to provide the advertising attractive enough to encourage the clicks. :D

Never had anyone try that here, which actually does surprise me. Yeah, it would likely get people to your site, but not sure what staying power your site would have once they got there if that was the carrot being used... They sure were going there to look at snakes..... ;)
 
who say's I couldnt dangle more thruout the site :D and you didn't answer the question. You must be part politician. ;)
