    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

basic leopard tortoise questions

I have a leopard tortoise. he/she is a little over a year old. now there are reptile shows coming upp in my area in September, and I plan to get another hatchling leopard or a African spurred. so question 1. can I mix a hatchling with a slightly larger tortoise? can I mix African spurred? I know not to mix but they are so similar that I thought it may be ok. and I am keeping my current leopard in a wooden cage. when should I move he/she outside?
 
I dont see any real issue keeping them together so long as they are the same size. Also keep in mind males will eventually fight, I think mixing between an african spurred with leopards, zoo's have been doing that for years. I wouldnt recommend keeping hatchlings outside until they reach 1 year of age.
 
You should quarantine any new animals prior to introducing them to your current ones. After a quarantine, two leopards should be able to live together. I would not mix a sulcata with a leopard, sulcata are more aggressive and your leopard will suffer, at least from stress, at worst a fatal wound.
