    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

BCI Pattern Question

Hey all,

So I recently acquired this guy. He's about a year and a half old and about 2.5' to 3'. To me he looks like your standard BCI except his pattern is different than all the others I have at home and any other BCIs I've seen at reptile shows. Normally what I see are the standard bow ties or blocks. The only other time I've seen this pattern is on a Suriname BCC.

Can you guys help me out? Is this just an undesired pattern so not many people breed it out?

Thank you!

Here are several pics I took today. Hope these help.

Yeah, the guy I got him from knew nothing about his history or where he came from.

Thank you for all your help!

Without doing a scale count, Noone is really going to accurately be able to tell you if your animal is BCI, or BCC, or possibly both. and even then, if the scale count is CLOSE to either or, its not a guaranteed thing, either BECAUSE you dont know the lineage.

It is just simply, Boa Constrictor.

I've had an animal like that before and it was believed it was a cross. When bred to another typical Colombian none of the babies had the widow peaks. Its possible its a cross since most petshops are just looking for live babies without bothering to trace or care about lineage.

Either way, its still a badass boa.
