In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Bean Farm Bad News

It sounds like this is a transaction that will not have an email trail. Instead it sounds like the only proof would be his bank records and I do not think they need to be put on line in any form.

Instead I think we need to hear from the Bean Farm regarding the information sent to them. I also feel like the interpersonal relation (rudeness) of the person they contacted for help is where the real issue is. With bank records of a transaction it is easy enough to prove things if push comes to shove.

sounds like she ordered online and then called when stuff didn't show to see what the deal was.

that sucks. i hope it works out for you!

The transaction came out of my bank I am not sure what happened to it on there end.

How did you place the order? Online or over the phone or through a mail in order form?

You said payment was with a debit card. Has the amount shown on your bank account actually "cleared" or is it still "pending"?

Right now it's just your word against no one else's since the Bean Farm has not shown up here to give their side of the story. You may end up having to show your "proof' of payment by scanning your paper bank statement (or taking a screen shot of an online bank statement) and posting the pic here (blacking out the personal info like address, account #'s, other transactions not related to your bean farm payment, etc.)

I've known Giovanni and Paula for over 20 years, visited their home, and have been buying supplies all this time with no problems.

I agree with Randal, something is missing here. These are good people to deal with.

he already had the bank fax over the statement

I have also dealt with The Bean Farm on many occasions without a problem. I was surprised to see this thread.

I'm not accusing anyone of anything, however, this time of year, people tend to get a bit impatient when dealing with others. A couple of things to ask yourself are:

1. Is there any chance your wife was rude or impatient which may have caused the response she got?

2. Is it possible that the rep she spoke to was just having an off day dealing with lots of people in the holiday "spirit"? No excuse, but sometimes perceived rudeness can cause as many problems as actual rudeness.

3. Have you exhausted all other means of resolving this before bringing it here? You mention your wife's conversation with the first rep, but not subsequent conversations to sort this out. The BOI should be a last resort.

Good luck, and I hope this works out for all parties involved.

It might sound like that, but, without confirmation by the OP, it's anybody's guess. An online order should have generated an email acknowledgement with an order number....and giving that order number to The Bean Farm would likely straighten things out pretty quickly.

No we only have him saying that it was done. there is no proof that it actually happened. No one from the bean farm has come here to confirm that yes they got a fax from his bank.

Excellent points, Mike. :yesnod:

I've had NOTHING but positive transactions with them. They have been curteous and pleasant every singe time I've dealt with them. It sounds like a miscommunication more than something that warrents a "bad guy" post. :shrug01: I hope this issue gets resolved soon for all involved.

My wife talked to one of the owners today and they got it straightened out. Our money is being refunded to us. Apparently they were having some issues with there system and some scammers. I guess that goes to show you that scammers can mess up a good thing for everybody. She did apologize to my wife and was sorry about the mix up. Thanks to all that did not immediately take me as someone complaining for no reason. Thanks for the help in getting this issue sorted out.

Brett, I'm glad you worked it out. You slandered Giovanni's name by coming on here and screaming that you got jammed.

I also talked to Giovanni and your billing info was not matching up...it was a simple fix.

The money never went to Giovanni's account, but was in limbo.

What? Really? He slandered their name? He did nothing of the sort. He only posted the issue that was at hand, and as far as we know, was completely honest about it. Was there an issue? Yes, there was. Thankfully it got sorted out and Brett acknowledged that fact.

its sounds like to me it was a mistake and nothing more , he didnt slander their name in fact he had good things to say about them from his past dealings . he had a problem and it seemd like it wasnt going anywhere so he came here for help ..

i have delt with bean farm on quite a few occasions and had nothing but good service myself , it seems it was just a mixup .

and i understand your good friends with Giovanni but in truth he shouldnt be speaking to you in detail of another persons account or order issue for you to know that much detail . thats not a good business practice .

glad to hear everything was fixed and i will still be using bean farm when i need stuff ..

Bingo!

This is the first time (as far as I can recall) that a problem was resolved without the other party even making a post here! It just shows that everything does not need to turn into a pissing contest.

Another testament of the BOI doing good.
