In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Where do Bearded Dragons tend to go to the bathroom? Do they always go on sand or anywhere they want? If they go on logs and rocks that will start to be a pain...How would I clean that stuff off of rocks? Thanks

mine goes where ever it wants to go - sand, rocks, hammock, water dish, etc.

if he poops on his branch or rocks, i just scrape them off, and dip them in boiling water for a few seconds. Doesn't always get all the poop off, but i guess it doesn't really matter to me, since it'll just get dirtied up in a few days anyway.

Yep, they go pretty much wherever they want. Mine goes on her big log, so i have to clean it every 2-3 days now, she will also go on the sand, but its impossible to map out where exactly. She also tends to go on her veggie bowl after she's eaten them all or is seemingly full.

Thats the only thing I cant stand, I wish they were more like Lepard geckos.

Jonathan,

They will go anywhere in their cage.

I have soft brushes and pan scrubbers that I use just for cleaning the cage and other items. I put the dirty rock or log in my sink or tub with hot, soapy water. I use regular dishsoap. Use the scrubbers to rub all of the defecation off and rinse really good. I keep the scrubbers and Playtex gloves all together and I use them just for my animals so that I don't get their bacteria all over other items.

Hope this helps!

This is a good practice, but for the sake of mentioning it, everyone shouldn't forget to disinfect the tub or sink after they're done. Virosan is great but even anti-bacterial 409 or other cleaner will do fine.
I often take my tortoises' feed plates into the kitchen to prepare their meals, and ossasionally thaw large rats directly in the sink. Everything gets sprayed heavily with virosan and it wiped clean after the solution has sat on it for 5 or 10 minutes.

As for cleaning the rocks, for hard to clean dried feces, you can also get a toothbrush sized wire brush. I used these to clean the slag from tight areas when welding, but they work great to scrub the cracks and crevices in rocks to get them clean.
Better stick with the pot cleaners for the logs though, a wire brush will wear the wood down after a while.

MINE PRETTY MUCH GOES WHERE EVER IT WANTS. BUT ITS FINE WITH ME BUT THE BEST PART IS IT NEVER GOES ON ME OR ANYONE ELSE

Give her a nice warm bath and then wrap her in a towel and cuddle with her. Usually a few minutes after I do that she poops.

She won't let me drop her into water unless I'm holding her either. I also tend to spoil her too. I've only dressed her up once...
