Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

As of late, I've been a bit behind the power curve when it comes to answering emails and giving credit where credit is due.

One of the folks who I've been meaning to post about is Joe Pierce. A couple weeks ago, I purchased and received a male lava het ice and female ice ghost corn from Joe. The snakes were flawless, and Joe was a pleasure to deal with.

Joe was a bit heavy on males of both morphs that I purchased from him, and I felt a bit guilty about pairing up a cheaper het male with one of the few ice females he had available... so I offered to cover PayPal's 3% surcharge. Being the standup guy that he is, Joe would have nothing of it.

The snakes were shipped on time, and packed extraordinarily well. Even though this was only a $300 transaction, Joe was in constant touch with me from the moment I inquired about the corns til I let him know they were received in perfect condition. All in all, I'd have to rate Joe's customer service as impeccable.
 
Ken, how coincidental that you mention Joe now. I was just talking to a friend about him this past week. I got my first albino and het burms from him back in the late 80's. I've done a little business with him over the years and used to see him regularly when I was going to and doing shows. He always had great stuff and excellant customer service.

If, and I have no reason to doubt you, he is still as good now as he was back in "The Day" then he has one of the longest good guy records out there.

I too would highly recommend him.

It's good to hear that he is still doing what he loves. Some of the best looking ceylonese I ever got were purchased from Joe. I made the long drive all the way to Alturas to pick these and some other snakes up in 88 or 89. Great animals and a great setup considering it was mainly distributed in a relatively small basement. I was very well recieved and Joe and his wife asked me to stay for a lunch. Very hospitable and kind.


I would appreciate some contact info for Joe. And is he still breeding indians and ceylonese? I would not hesitate for a second to order some additional stock from him.
 
better late than never

I sent Joe a few thousand dollars last season for some cutting edge cornsnakes. At the time, I didnt know him but i took the chance. The things were absolutely drop dead stunning and what a zest for life they have! His motto is....... if it doesnt eat, its not worth a dime. It shows because everything I have gotten from him eats like its their last day on Earth. Not only is he honest, he is a real pleasure to talk with and is soooooo knowledgeable.

I didn't purchase anything from Joe... but did get the opportunity to meet with him and share a nice conversation last weekend. Joe came down to my place from his (a lengthy drive to say the least) to pick up a hypo boa, he's seems like a great guy who has been in the business doing what he loves for some time. Great guy that I'll def. be staying in touch with in the future.
