In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Best guess of how old my dragon is?

I bought a dragon from a petstore on September 11th. The owner had no idea whether she was a girl or guy. Io, is infact a girl. My problem is he had no idea when she was born. I have been dying to get a rough estimate because since her, I have bought two other dragons (from breeders) and would like to keep a growth chart and birth month for each of them.

Here are the stats I have for her. I just recently bought a gram scale so she has only been measured twice.

9/13 - 9.75"
11/2 - 12.125"
11/25 - 13.125"
1/07 - 14" - 204 grams
11/20 - 14.5" - 210 grams

My guess is somewhere between 6 to 10 months. I'm leaning toward the higher end.

Any guess or expert opinion's would be appreciate. She is a beautiful Gold x Orange Dragon.

I would guess...

Judging by the size in Sept and the fact that it was a pet store purchase(they usually are smaller for their age) I would guess at a May hatch date. 200 grams is probably a little small for 10 months given the time you have had it. (though possible) I think 7-8 months would be closer.

I had narrowed it down to 8-10 months. She has just grown like a weed since she got moved into her 50 gallon from the petstore. Seems like she completes one shed and then is back in another one.

I think March 2004 - May 2004 would be a good guess. I appreciate the help. I think I'm going to split the difference between the two if anyone doesn't throw an idea out.

Oh, if you want to see her she is the Dragon shown on the What Color Morph is she post back a bit. She was 50$ at the petstore!

i would say about 4-6 months. my petstore female dragon was at 18 inches at around 6 months old. my dragon was born in april and is now almost 500 grams and a little over 19 inches now.

Judging from the growth records you have kept, I would say around mid June was her hatch date. She would have been around 10-12 weeks old when you got her @ that length... providing she had normal care until then.

If she lacked some regular feedings or other husbandry needs, it would be earlier.

I think I have decided that she is 8 months.... April 2004. I just got a little girl that was born in June that is 13 inches and 118 grams... and a little boy that was born in August and is 11 inches and 88 grams.

My new little girl is a Chris Allen Red X Orange GG from Dachui. When I compare her to my Pet-Store Bearded her head is only half the size.

Oh ... the dragon I'm talking about CheriS is the one I was trying to find out the color morph a few posts back
