In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

best online supply stores

I use:

Big Apple Herptological (mostly heat tape and temp controllers but I have gotten other things from them)
The Bean Farm (Odd little supplies like Murazi Tortoise food and a snake hook, I think I got some heat tape from them once too)
Rodent Pro (feeder mice and rats)

I've used others for various little things but I really cant remember who, they just had the best deal at the time for the product I wanted. But the ones I've listed above are ones I would deffinatly reccomend for others to use, and if I can remember any others I will let ya know.

I had a great deal of trouble with Big Apple, I know I'm in the minority though. I had several perfect transactions with them, and then 1 absolutely horrible one. improperly packaged 1000 waxworms that ended up escaping into the delivery truck.

Bean Farm has been perfect so far.

NYWorms has been perfect, but I've only ordered 3 times from them.

Mulberry Farms is definately near the top of my list of good guys.

www.herpsupplies.com is very tough to beat both on price, and on customer service. Packing is always a cut above the rest, no matter how many oddball-sized things you order, all arrive in good condition. Has a good selection of herp books, too, and gives a good discount. Look there before the online megastores for herp books.

The Bean Farm is also good, and the only minor problem I ever had with them seems to have been fixed. Good folks.

Pro Exotics isn't the best price-wise, but their service is outstanding, and they're more than generous enough with their time and knowledge to make it worth your while to check them out, even though supplies aren't their main online thing.

I've gotten a few things from www.thatpetplace.com, and sometimes they have really good prices, depending on what you're looking for.

One I want to try . . .

I've used Beanfarm and Big Apple - they are no brainers - no sweat transactions. Extremely good people to work with.

I am interested in using "Scales" - Daniel Wedeking (I think that's how he spells it) is a frequent contributor to this forum and always has excellent advice, in my opinion - especially in the area of customer service. The next time I get a chance, I'm going to place an order through him. But I think he would also be a great one to try out.

Here's his website. http://www.exoticlizards.com/.

The 1st two I can vouch for personally - and I'm inclined to think that "Scales" would be a good experience as well.

Good luck

If you're looking for good on-line sources for meds and related equipment, check out these two:

ValleyVet.com http://www.valleyvet.com/

and

Lambriar Vet Supply http://www.lambriarvet.com/

Both of these companies offer an excellent selection with reasonable prices.

I have purchased from both, but ValletVet is my source of choice for these types of products.

Yeah...that's one of the others I've used "Scales". I bought a screen cage from them, very good service, and nice product too. I've acctually been considering purchaseing a few more cages from them.

We have just started our website and our really trying to get the supply part of it going. We don't have a huge selection yet, but we have the majority of things. Give us a chance you won't be dissapointed. And if you find something cheaper than we have it posted for, I will match the price. I am also offering for the months of January and February, no box charge. Check out our website for all the prices and availability. Thanks.

Supplies

TONGS.com ripped me off

I ordered supplies last July and am still waiting. No reply to my e-mails regarding status. Just being ignored and keeping my $200. Suggest you don't do business with these guys!!!!

How long does it take to send tongs/hemos out anyway???

I have delt with scales before on numerous occasions. I have bought supplies and animals formt hem and it is always top notch service and there customer service is tops. I have delt with thother companies metioned too and they have also been pleasent. You might also check out reptiledirect.com. They have good prices but shipping can be alittle slow.
