    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Best place to buy shipping supplies?

Where do you get you shipping supplies? I know there's places that you can buy kits from but i was wondering if it was cheaper if you bought your own supplies and where a good pace to get them would be. I just need a place to get the cardboard boxes. Would it be better/cheaper to buy the kits or make your own if you only have a couple snakes to ship? The kits on ship your reptiles are 12.50 plus 8.50 shipping. I can get at least 6 boxes worth of insulation for ten bucks at Lowes and boxes shouldn't be that much. What size boxes do you guys use for adult and baby balls? Sorry for all the newbie questions lol.

The most popular box used with ShipYourReptiles is the 12x9x6. Next is the 15x11x7.

You can build your own, but be sure to use at least 3/4" of insulation, and cut it carefully to get a nice tight fit. A bigger box will also cost more to ship then a smaller box, because of dimensional weight. You can read more about dimensional weight in our Get Help section at ShipYourReptiles.com.

The shipping kits are meant for infrequent shippers that just need one, or a few boxes, and don't need to order 15, or 50, boxes. You can order the boxes in bulk on our site, they come flat with insulation on the side, and you assemble them yourself. That is much more economical than ordering individual shipping kits. You can also order bags, delis, heat packs and more in the quantity that you need.

I get my supplies from reptilesexpress, but shipyourreptiles is very competitive on bags,cups and heat packs. Boxes you can buy at any shipping store and I agree to make sure the insulation is tight.

Robyn good to see you on the forums, How is the recovery going? Best of luck guys.
