    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Best season for first year female?

Best first year breeding female # of clutches.

I know that there have got to be some first year girls that have beaten the odds.

I have one, just a year old, and she's working on her 6th clutch. So far out of the first 4 clutches I've gotten 3 hatchlings, two infertiles, and 3 fertile eggs still in the incubator, she just laid her 5th clutch yesterday, too early to tell if they are fertile yet, but at the rate she's going they should be good.
 
My very first Leopard Gecko was an awesome breeder! I actually got her form Petco, wasn't planning on breeding the. I bred her when she was a little over a year and I got at least 11-12 clutches of Fertile eggs! No Lie :)

I can only hope that my girl will do that well. She's done great so far not loosing any weight, so I'd like to see her go the whole season if she can. This way I can change my answer in the poll too. ;)
 
I only have final data on one first time breeder who produced 12 eggs in 7 clutches, 10 of them fertile. This year's first time breeder just delivered clutch #5 with #6 clearly on the way. The first 2 eggs have hatched and all the others look good.

Sure you don't mean eggs? LOL 19 clutches would be 38 eggs from one girl...unless she had some single egg clutches.

LOL well i guess i kind of stretched the truth, just a lil :ack2: My first female had like 2 or 3 fertiles and has now had like 6-7 infertiles.
 
We've got two girls (SHTCTB and SHTCT) producing their first season, both about a year of age. So far we've got I think fourteen hatchlings (I lost count ages ago, Cory tracks all the numbers lol) from the two, and more eggs in the incubator. Couldn't have asked for better!
 
The first Leo I bred was about a year old when I bred her, she laid 8 clutches (14 total eggs) of which only 3 were fertile. It was a slow year, but the next year 12 of her 16 were fertile and hatched.
