In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy BEWARE.. Ballboutique (Rick Denmon) FALSE ADVERTISING!!

That snake should have either been culled or given away privately as a pet that would never be bred.
I can't believe Rick puts up an ad and says "kink free" in it and posts a picture of a seriously kinked animal AND wants to sell it.
Rick, you need to address this.
That animal should not be for sale.

Although I don't think it is sever enough to consider culling it does appear to have more than one kink in it -- it will probably make for a good pet for someone that doesn't want to breed -- sadly it will likely get sold to someone that will try to breed it.

My guess is that it's from MRKs famous "no kink" line

I hope you are fairly certain after starting a thread like this.
How does one tell the difference between coiled up and kinked?

Near the tail of this animal, is a kink. She is mine. From my only clutch this year. She is not for sale, nor will be, nor will be bred. Ever.

You can clearly see it in both pictures if know what you are looking for.

I sense a Rick hating tone around here? I must have missed something.

Your right, I hate Rick. And this is one of the reasons I do.. Got your blinders on Ryan? Or didnt you even look at the ad and picture? Question for you, Do you think if it was someone other then Rick selling this animal I wouldn't have made this same post?? Wrong!

You are correct it is a kink.
I rushed to post them and did not see the kink.
Some folks will say I was wrong to do so and I can agree. These photos were taken after they all came out of egg. These photos were taken after the last one left the egg on 9/30/2008.
Now I take full blame for this ad.
I just had a cataract removed on the 18th and my right eye was not that great. I had the left eye just done this Thursday. So when I posted the photos I did not catch it.
As all my customers know I sell great animals. Perhaps I will be more careful when I post pictures. Sad it took so long for Jas to catch it! Eleven days to see that. Any how the animal will be taken down and not sold.
Thanks Jas for catching that. I am sure when my eye site returns to 100% I will see that. Again thanks it was an honest mistake.
You can believe me or not but I am an honest man…..
Thanks,

I caught it and asked about it in the Hell forum. If i was mistaken, or not. Others agreed. I only posted it yesterday in question of responses. I could have easilly been mistaken myself, for images can play tricks on the eyes.

You verify that it is indeed a kink, and i assume will be removing the image, and that animal for sale. ( that is your choice, but i feel it should not be SOLD for breeding purposes, whether you agree. is a different story. )

Also, your wording in your ad is false. Four eggs and one kinked animal. that we can see from the ads you posted.

I suggest you display the correct wording. Unless you mean that the animal for sale will be entirely kink free, in which case, i suggest, again that you word it accordingly.

As a buyer I certainly would want to know if I was getting a Caramel that is a sibling of a kinked animal. Most people are aware of the kinking problems in Caramels but still.

I guess we have to take Rick at his word that he won't sell the animal. Hope it doesn't end up wholesaled to someone who will have no problem selling it for cheap to a person who doesn't care that it's kinked and will breed it anyway. Not that anything like THAT would ever happen in the reptile industry...

LOL -- I was thinking the same thing -- a kink like that should have been easy to see or at least felt when the snake came out of the egg and was cleaned, sexed and set up.

I unfortunately have to say that, as the buyer, that is the question one should be asking when buying an animal. If they feel the seller is less than reputable, then i would suggest not buying from them in the first place to save them from that problem.

I'll go with you on that one. The responsibility to ask is probably the buyer's. But I guess that if the buyer had any smarts they would research and see what kind of person they are dealing with before they buy. Lying, misleading and scumbaggery go hand in hand most of the time.

Yeah...

It sucks when a buyer is new, and does not know. But lets hope that we can help as many as they can to make an informed decision by directing them to friends, or places where they can gain more information themselves by reading a forum like this, or elsewhere. Thats all we can do. :)

Im always looking for anything out of the ordinary. But i also hate to jump the gun. I have learned it from past experience that its better to get a wider opinion first.

In this case, i was dead on. Which im grateful that John decided to make a post. I should have personally done it, but meh, i have more reservations than he does, and i probably should not in some cases... lol You rock John.

I haven't seen the actual ad because I have rick blocked but if they are advertised as coming from a non kinking line or "Kink Free" -- wouldn't that imply that there weren't any kinked animals in the clutch?

Yup. That is what the ad implied, while the kinked animal was pictured. Which he admitted to. He edited the ad to remove the kinked animal, and i pointed out a couple posts ago that the wording was still wrong, and misleading. I dont know if it is changed RIGHT now. I will go look.

Do the siblings carry the trait?
