    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Beware Chameleon Counters

I paid a fee of about $45.00 and about 2 weeks later they were in the mail. This was about 98-99. Learned it from some splunker friends to gain contact info for landowners that had caves on their property. I'll look up the specifics here shortly.

As for the Freedom of Information Act, that is a Federal statute (see http://www.usdoj.gov/oip/index.html) and has no bearing on states, so you either do not know what the applicable state statute is, or you're being less than honest. I really do not care. The above, as I posted it, is applicable federal statute and is binding on all states. Want to test it? Get my DL number and publish it here and see what happens to you.

As for your state, Texas, the release of said information is governed by the Public Information Act. There is a nice lengthy PDF at http://oag.state.tx.us/AG_Publications/pdfs/publicinfo_hb2006.pdf which says, in part:


So...you can't legally get Texas DL numbers (they are EXCEPTED from required public disclosure) and Freedom of Information Act is irrelevant. Blasts a hole in your story, doesn't it?

Keith, you are plain and simple a liar. DL#'s in my state don't have 12 digits even if you count dashes. :rofl:

Justyn, even if what you say is so, you may have gotten property owner's names and contact info but I cannot see a legitimate need for release of a DL#s, especially considering the published regulations in Texas. But if the state saw fit to disclose them, redisclosure or publishing them on the web would have put you in jeopardy of violating federal law. As I pointed out above, Keith is a liar and a criminal. You really ought to pick your friends better.

Are for him being a criminal, we have all been in trouble in our days, some of us got caught, some didn't. It doesn't make you a bad person, it makes you human. Depends how you define "squeaky clean" but I've never committed a felony, I've never been arrested, and I haven't spent a day in jail much less years in a state penitentiary. It took Keith a long time to learn from his mistakes (it was not even close to his first felony conviction for which he was sent away) if he has learned at all. If what he posted was Mike G's SS# then he is hardly a "stand up guy". I doubt that you would say anyone who posted your SS# is a "stand up guy". So if your idea of a "stand up guy" is one who promotes identity theft then again, that speaks volumes about your own judgment.

That's good. More recently you've been picked up for being a felon illegally in possession of a firearm and for drug possession. Yes, a stellar member of the community indeed. As for investigating me, knock yourself out. If you find my DL# and/or my SS#and post it anywhere in violation of the law then I will surely have you prosecuted. Count on it.

If it wasn't a firearm you were still a felon in possession of a weapon. And if it was a syringe full of snake venom intended for murder then that really shows your character.

Keith, I'm not that hard to find. Come find me in person if you're that intent on doing me harm. Beware, I can (and do pretty much 100% of the time) legally carry a handgun (one of the advantages of not being a felon).

There are two schools of thought on that. I have no problem with people knowing that I am armed. I would, at times, carry openly if it didn't freak people out (talk about the wild west :p). The purpose of the concealed carry permit is so that you can conceal if you choose to do so. I have additional firepower in my home, and anyone who breaks in and tries to harm my family or myself will most likely be on the wrong end of a shotgun blast. I take personal protection seriously, and Keith, joking or not, directed a threat at me. If it was a joke, I wasn't amused. If he tries to act on that threat, he will regret it, though perhaps not for long.
