Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't doubt that Mr. Beatty would merely provide the same reply that he did to you. However, that does not change the fact that it is grossly incorrect information. Again, this isn't the first time I have seen such misinformation come out of Volusia County.

FS 790.06 is fairly straightforward in scope, and there is nothing that would preclude a expo attendee with a FL cwl, or one from their home state, from legally carrying a concealed weapon or firearm on the premises of the Ocean Center during the NRBE.

There is but only one area off-limits to lawful ccw that is not contained in Chapter 790, and it can catch folks off guard if they're unaware of it. That, of course, is hospitals that provide mental health services

However, we've steered far enough off-topic with this one. If anyone would like, we can create a separate thread in the General BS forum in order to expound on Florida's firearms laws. However, the discussion in this thread need to revert back to its original subject matter.
 
I own a .357 magnum revolver for self-protection only. You all must be very careful about fighting at Daytona. I have heard wild rumors about crazy men packing heat there and waiting for just one wrong word from an enemy. And no, it is not me or anyone I know.

However, if the promoter of this show (Wayne Hill) abides or agree's with the Volusia County legal center, and the assistant director of the Ocean Center says you cannot, (carry a concealed weapon into the facility) are you still saying that you will carry your weapon into the expo?

Gee Randall. I just want to thank you for being such a public spirited citizen and contacting the center and making an issue out of a non issue. Do you have some agenda for wanting to get the show posted? Everyone who has a CCW in Florida knows that posting of private or public property supercedes the State Law. That was not the issue. I posted the actual statute. Did you think I made it up?
