Before going further, I want to say that I feel for the OP. It is my hope that he regains possession of his stolen animals. Also my hope that the person, who scammed him, meets his deserved karma and that the justice system gets a hold of this scammer.
I don't understand how all of a sudden this thread is starting to go in the direction of attacking the OP. He is mad. Shoot I'm mad and he only attempted to scam me.
Yes, if he is mad, it is justified.
I don't think anyone is attacking the OP (esp. not for being mad) but if there is some skepticism, or other odd feelings toward the OP, I can understand why.
As someone "in the know", and family/friends in LE, the OP is not doing himself, or LE, any favors with his "name dropping type", and boastful, ways.
Nor with the following (just a couple of examples):
I know local law enforcement think of it as BS. But, when you're talking hundreds sometimes thousands of dollars, it kinda means alot.Just that the average local law enforcement officers don't really know much or care much about these types of pets or breeders. If it's not cats and dogs they could care less nor do they even understand.
This is absolutely ludicrous and untrue.
Property is property. Reptiles are property the same as are dogs/cats and inanimate objects.
There is a difference between criminal, & civil, however.
Sure, perhaps
some officers don't care to do the work it takes, to recover property, etc., but making this comment just makes LE look like a bunch of inept idiots. Professional LE officers will do their job and are not inept, uneducated, idiots.
It's the hate for law enforcement craig! It's cool. I get it all the time. But then when something happens to them, we're the first to be called to go help them
This is simply an idiotic, and juvenile, comment.
Reminds me of when a "race card" is unjustifiably pulled.
The best thing, that the OP can do, is to quit with his boasting, & any ridiculous comments, and simply stick to mostly posting facts of the case, any proof, and anything that is being done (if it does not tip off the criminal/scammer of something coming his way).
Again, I hope the best for the OP ... and, of course, the worse for the criminal.
