In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

  • IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!! About the Google Adsense ads being displayed

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

She emailed me & wanted to buy a female rainbow boa I had for sale. She wanted me to ship to address other then Verified one with Paypal, I said no &she still sent payment & I refunded it stating that she wanted me to ship to address other the the on account. Now she filed a Paypal dispute against me. I already emailed paypal & asked how a dispute can be made AFTER payment was returned & haven't heard back.

Please ship her to:

Evan Thomas
62 Muir Blvd.
East Hampton, NY 11937

and not the POB 499.
PayPal verified you with 70something customers. And
they took my payment, sent to you. So... let it all be
a lesson learned.

I sincerely appreciate you selling her to me.
Thankyou,
Heather

That address belongs to an "East Hamptons Landscaping" in NY, while the phone number given is a Florida number. Weird.

Whoops, I see there is no Slatington addy in that post. Dang, was seeing things.

LOL Cat I think he was cracking on Jesse Fricker/ skinny /gracy/ catsadoll... I thought the final was more fitting

This is a tough one where the verified "address" is a Post Office Box. Clearly that's where she gets her mail but a snake cannot be shipped there.

Honestly she may be a scammer but more likely she is caught between a rock and a hard place. She may buy things online, say at eBay, where most shipping is USPS, and rarely purchase a reptile. Correct me if I am wrong but I think that she can have only one verified address. So which to use? If it's her street address then packages sent via USPS may not get to her. If it's a PO Box then packages sent via common carrier will not be delivered.

I think that I would also decline PayPal and ask for a postal money order. PayPal is quick to take your money back in a dispute and you have no leg to stand on if the buyer files a dispute after delivery since shipping to anything but a verifed address may be a violation of their TOS. But...the buyer may be totally legit, and just stuck.

Chris

While I know that it is ill advised to ship to an unverified address, i not only do it quite often, I invariably ask people to ship animals to me at my work address. I get requests for both that and to ship to a neighbor since the buyer will bve at work. Knock on wood...i have never had a problem with it. It is unfortunate that paypal only allows one verified address. It is almost always the billing address of the Credit Card that you tie to your account.

It sounds like she got riled because she does not understand the workings of PayPal.

Since you promptly refunded her, the dispute will obviously come to nothing.

when I just told her Paypal had to be sent to verified address, she argued & then came up with Western Union, I told her I would except it, then it went to half money order & half personal check as "her boyfriend" said how do we know we aren't getting ripped off? I had a feeling from the beginning that something wasn't right here about this deal but you always have to let it pan out to give the customer the benefit of the doubt.

Hmmmm...On the verified address thing, I have multiple addresses verified on my Paypal account (three currently, but I had more).

Obviously, this doesn't help you as it's a new account setup, but at least the information is out there

Paypal said:
A confirmed address is an address that has been reviewed by PayPal and found to be safer than addresses that do not have similar characteristics. PayPal provides confirmed addresses to help sellers make informed decisions when shipping goods.

While PayPal confirms addresses, there are things that you can do to help PayPal confirm a specific address:

1. Add a credit card to a PayPal account. Once completed, the address on file with your credit card company is confirmed on your PayPal account.
2. Apply and be approved for a PayPal Plus Credit Card or PayPal Buyer Credit. Once approved, the address on your application is confirmed on your PayPal account.

OR
3. Confirm your address through Alternative Address Confirmation.

To qualify for Alternative Address Confirmation, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Be a Verified U.S. PayPal member in good standing.
2. Be a PayPal member for more than 90 days.
3. Have a Community Participation buyer number more than 10.
