Something started to smell bad in this thread fairly early on...sometimes it takes a little bit of effort to get to the source.

The peaches and cream approach doesn't work on the BOI; I told you that, and what happened while we were trying it. You are new here, this IS a kinder, gentler BOI (if you don't believe that, take a look at some older threads)...and, while we are striving for it to become a more professional place, we aren't going to totally handcuff the players. With regard to the insults and badgering (as you were also told), when the lines are crossed, those things are addressed. It doesn't usually happen publicly, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

At the time I made that post, I do believe the way Denny was being treated was immature. It was after that statement that the true Denny was revealed. I admit I was wrong about him however multiple ppl agreed with privately at the time so I know I was not alone. I still maintain that until your exposed as a pathological, infringing, lying, cheating, slandering, imposterer, you do reserve the right to start a BOI no matter how trivial other ppl find it to be. Multiple ppl have criticized my criticism of the methods of the BOI - I have apologized then, and now, and this is the last time I will do it. If my posts are considered hypocritical than that's fine I guess.

BUT, you weren't just talking about "Deny" when you said:

I know I recently was ripped off very badly, but after reading thru many BOI threads, I chose not to start one bc of a pattern of what the threads turn in to ..

Let me explain it to you...If you really thought this was a "trend" and it was immature, you would never have participated (as you are doing). This leads me to believe that you have been bit by the KARMA bug! This is when new posters start copying the very behavior that they previously condemned JUST to garner Karma. Really, the way your post is worded, you were condemning us all for every post made (trend) not just this one.

I appreciate that you took the time to contact me personally and enlighten me to some of the ways the BOI works - I did not understand some of the tactics however Harold took the time to inform me so I could contribute in the future and not be taken back by some of the methods. As I explained to Harold I have personal reasons why I get defensive over some of ways of the BOI, but I have seen its effectiveness here and will keep my mouth shut about certain things until I know for sure who I am defending. With regards to this thread, Denny deserves whatever he gets. The "one armed war veteran with little hearing and very little experience with reptiles that was just making newbie mistakes" that I originally had pictured in my mind obviously is not who Denny is.. This will be the last time I'll disrupt the thread with such a personal post w little relevance to the topic at hand and I hope this post doesn't offend anyone as it's completely off topic.

I guess now would be a good time to tell ya'll about my disability. I was hit with gama rays in a freak accident in a top-secret military operation and I have an "extra" limb because of this. The've been treating it with compound-W, and slowly dissolving it away, but occasionally it still gets a mind of it's own and types some pretty wierd stuff ... .

I never meant having alittle fun after finding out someone is a total tool was wrong. All I was doing was trying to have some fun with you guys as well. Snakes are stressed no matter WHAT we do. They are in unnatural conditions by our choice. While I have usually boxed snakes separately..when I have several in one order, I have packed them together and sometimes I have made errors in my packing. It's not the end of the world as it's being made out to be..but I can understand the reasoning against doing it.

Perhaps if Denny was being charged for the boxes, separate bags etc, he would have wanted to save money by combining the order. They were neonates, there was not much damage they could have done to each other unless I am mistaken?

Karma schmarma! It's been a while, but the new and improved BOI hasn't changed much at all. The buzzards still circle the corpse. much like an audience at a Roman coliseum, the motive seems clear here. Natalie has absolutely nothing to apologize for. This thread has run it's course, we all know who the bad guy is, and it's not those participating in this thread other than the idjut who started it! And Deborh, you have been "led to believe" things yourself in the past that were wrong. Evereyone here is a student at one time or another. Everyone needs to cut the holier than thou stuff and stay focused on setting an example. Trying being teachers if your so concerned and not "buzzards". So there's no confusion.... Denny, bad guy with serious issues. Stop not picking and beating people up that have good intentions. And don't be jealous of karma whatever. It's over rated.

In all honesty I will disagree with the herd and say yes it is. Doublechecking is definitely a must but when ordering a sexed pair of anything no one should have to request that the animals be marked as to gender. I have been genuinely surprised by the responses on this. Would I have considered it BOI worthy????? absolutely not. Would I have let the seller know I thought it was unacceptable???? you betcha. In twenty years in this industry I have never had an adult pair shipped in one bag. What about the possibilities of aggression? What about the possibility of an inopportune wrong time of season breeding? Absolutely no justification or excuse for it. Personally I don't think that there is any justification for it with juvies or neonates either.

I disagree. I think Denny was determined to try to get some money back no matter what Ken would have done. I like snakes in seperate containers too though.

What about all the mite accusations? It's interesting though bc I read Denny's comment on yelp.com and no mention of mites. I have to agree with Angie Here.. Ken could have shipped him the 2 nicest rosys in the world, and it would have yielded the same result - a very poorly thought out, half *** attempt to get some or all of his mOney back and keep the snakes.

As I said in my post that was quoted above, my comments on the packaging were a general observation. I would agree that the OP was looking for something for nothing here and definitely lied his behind off throughout the thread. I believe another member in my area will be posting his similar experience with the OP later

That said, there is still no excuse for ever sending two snakes in one bag on a retail order. Especially gender specific animals. In 20 years I have never once received animals in that state.

I have, to be honest, on occasion grouped animals together on large wholesale orders (100 plus animals) at the customer's request to limit multiple boxes. Especially on large international orders. Even then it is only done with species like Corns that tolerate it well. But doing it on a small retail order is, in my opinion, corner cutting and, well, lazy

I agree that individual packaging is desired, and should be the norm - especially in this situation. Never denied that...I just disputed that NOBODY packs them together, as Denny claimed. Can't be true, because I've received snakes packaged like that from several sources - I honestly don't recall if the snakes I've received from Ken were packed together. I think one pair might have been, but I'm pretty sure the other wasn't.

I ordered 10 female thayeri Ken. All packed in individual cups. One arrived dead. I called the store. They refunded my money immediately. Never asked for proof, picture or return of the body. I do not know how this could have been a better transaction. Mites can show up at any time. Pinpointing the source is almost always a crap shoot. This may be the dumbest post about a purchase that I have ever seen.
