In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy BEWARE! Ken, the owner of Exotic Pets LLC is not a reputable dealer!

Notice you have negative numbers for your's. Sour grapes perhaps? Have some calda. Oh Anthony, please, anything but that. How will I ever sleep tonight? Cmon dude. Man up. Do you see you made my point? I will not post here again just to entertain the need for you guys and gals to achieve some form of "stature" here. Been there, done that. Some of you rookies will eventually refrain from being self absorbed scalpers. At that point, the BOI will make a turn for the better. Again, things have changed little here. Don't get me wrong. But not for the tremendous sacrifice Webslave has made to accomodate so many self absorded whiners over the years that you all braincells overlook, none of you would have an outlet for your petty frustrations. Toodles.

Two wolves would be no match for Bugs Bunny. Or the roadrunner. :) . Good point though. Even Tweety is quite cunning. Lots of those characters here. So long.

As I said in my post that was quoted above, my comments on the packaging were a general observation. I would agree that the OP was looking for something for nothing here and definitely lied his behind off throughout the thread. I believe another member in my area will be posting his similar experience with the OP later

That said, there is still no excuse for ever sending two snakes in one bag on a retail order. Especially gender specific animals. In 20 years I have never once received animals in that state.

I have, to be honest, on occasion grouped animals together on large wholesale orders (100 plus animals) at the customer's request to limit multiple boxes. Especially on large international orders. Even then it is only done with species like Corns that tolerate it well. But doing it on a small retail order is, in my opinion, corner cutting and, well, lazy

My .02 cents

I agree. It's what professional breeders do.

Ken's a great guy and has been around in this business for many years, which is exactly why I know that deep down he knows it's not cool to ship a sexed pair of snakes out in one deli or bag.

I'd be annoyed if I bought a sexed pair of snakes and they came packaged together with no indication of what was what.

That being said, his customer in this transaction is a proven liar and not a good guy at all!

I think the packaging of live animals sometimes falls into a sort of "sloppy" syndrome if one does it enough. Some people fall victim to this syndrome, such as Ken, who while he didn't do anything I would consider lethal, did perform the operation in quite the sloppy manner, at best. Others seem to keep in mind these are living, breathing organisms, and keep the care-level up to par even on the smallest of orders.
A good comparison is two shipments we received a couple months ago. One was three large serpents, all of which are well-known to be ophiophagus, placed in pillow cases in the same box with a few pieces of crumpled newspaper. When we opened the box, one of the larger specimens had found a hole in the bottom of the red pillowcase and squeezed his way out. He was sitting there rattling his tail as all colubridae do when they are nervous, and could have easily decided to fight the other male still in his pillowcase, and possibly broken his neck, which is what they do if you combat past the point of the huffy-puffy stage during mating season, which is what we were just getting past at the time. Did I do a BG thread? Nope. I just laughed it off as a disaster avoided.
The other shipper sent each of his gems packed in their very own little plastic container, marked with sex and species, and had plenty of cushioning both inside and outside of the containers. Both shipments were within $500 of each other, but one was done carefully by someone who obviously cared about the animals, and the other was done with obvious signs and symptoms of the dreaded sloppy syndrome. Of particular note, that large male also had a section in his back of fused vertebrae the seller never mentioned in our conversations. Fortunately, we are after his DNA and not trying to win a beauty pagent with him.
Bottom line, if Ken had taken just a little more time with the last step of his end of the deal, dingleberry would have had to dig a little deeper to come up with his evil and twisted plan. But then we wouldn't have this thread that seems to be a lot like the world's fair - it gets bigger and better every year. Last check shows almost 15k views. That's got to be a record somewhere for this short of time span.

I did business with exotic pets before, made a 250$ online purchase and received nothing. After a while they stopped answering emails, then every time i'd call it was a different excuse.Ken always made sure someone else answered the phone.Took some time to get my money back.:NoNo:

I find it odd that 'John Smith" from the same area of the thief who stole from me felt the need to join fauna just to post that i am wrong here.

John, you are certainly getting around the BOI today......

John Smith? Wow. First, this would never happen. I don't avoid phone calls ever. Had someone call me yesterday, I was busy with another client. When I went to ask who called me, the young staff member told me he told the guy to call me back. He'll never tell anyone that again! I take all my phone calls, and if I can't, I make sure I have a phone # to return the call, which I usually do right away. This person is a liar. Plain and simple.

On the packing, I stand by the way I shipped the snakes to Denny. The were housed together, usually laying on top of each other, even with plenty of room to roam. Shipping them together did no harm, and made them fit in a smaller box so I could charge Denny less for shipping. Everyone's got their own way of shipping, and as long as it does no harm to the animals, that's the way it should be. As I indicated, I will ask more often now if they wish them packed singly. To call me lazy is untrue. I work hard, all day long.

I don't like bad guy threads. I'm going to start one, just to make sure this joker is called out. I have several bad guy threads about me here. In each and every case, the OP would claim I'd done some wrong thing, and before you know it, dozens of people have jumped in, all against me. Even some who have defended me in this thread have called for my head at one time. Remember the girl that complained about the Argentine boa with the missing tail tip? I was as good as set on fire on the BOI. It was like a lynch mob. What happened? The snakes tail was perfect. I had her send the snake back, I refunded her money, and sold it the very next day. I can't think of one time that I've been claimed a bad guy, and ended up the bad guy. I even cringe when I get a good guy post, just because it can turn on a dime and I'll end up having to defend myself again. It happens. I see it here all the time. I'm not trying to bitch. But I guess I am. Doesn't mean the BIO does not work. Even here, in this thread, I had people ready to string me up for sending snakes with mites. Sure it turned out great, but what if Denny had not posted the stolen photos and shot himself in the foot? Where would I be now? Thanks again Willow. I owe you. And thanks Denny, for making me look better then I actually am.

I suspect a little extra effort in packaging would have earned Ken another satisfied customer.

I beg to differ on this one. Please note that after the "poor packing job" and "mite infestation", Denny then made a claim that Ken charged him a sexing fee that should have been refunded. (If you are new to this thread and didn't read the whole thing - please note the buyer got exactly what Ken said he was sending and the BUYER was found to lie every time his fingers touched the keyboard.)

Here's what makes you a good guy (whether you are found to be in the wrong or right at the end of day). You actually participate in the BOI, right whatever is wrong (or hell, right whatever is NOT wrong, but is not worth arguing about). I have a lot of respect for someone who runs a busy business and takes time out to respond to allegations. Nothing peeves me more than seeing the "XYZ Big Name Breeder screwed me over" and then 50 posts saying "XYZ Big Name Breeder is too busy to come deal with piddly crap and "Fauna Drama"" as an excuse to not deal with a dissatisfied customer. Kudos to you, Ken.

I would like to state that anyone who read the quoted text from Itdtokay's post to please disregard everything said in that statement. As the poster is simply a fake profile made in response to a separate BOI thread.

Why they posted in this thread I don't wish to know...but anythingnothing said from that profile should be looked upon as pointless babble anywhere other then in response to the thread they should actually be posting in.

Once that person's identity is fixed, and they are able to provide proof of ANYTHING they wish to state in this completely separate situation...then they can come back and address this properly

anythingnothing...what an awesome typo...

I meant "anything said"

I'ma go sit in the corner now hehe

I actually thought the "anythingnothing" was just an ironic mixture of words to prove a point. Lol

Should of left it as is.

You can come out of your corner now.

Agreed.
I also like Ken to know I don't think for a moment he is lazy. I never saw his packing job, and as long as the animal arrives alive, I couldn't care less if it is packed exactly as I would do it. I wasn't sure if he took my earlier comments as a dig towards him, but I want him to know they most assuredly were not meant that way.
Indeed, my impressions of him so far is he is a fine, upstanding young man, and probably devestatingly handsome as well.:yesnod:
