In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I received an e-mail from Herp Fauna Plus in regards to the allegations that Alex Hue made about its business practices. I would like for everyone in the herp industry to understand that Alex is no angel himself. This all started off with Alex misrepresenting a Leopard tortoise by advertising that it was 6 inches in length. #1 Posted on Kingsnake as a 6 inch tortoise, #2 Posted it on his website as a 6 inch tortoise, #3 a phone call was placed to Alex to verify the true measurement of the animal. He clearly stated that the animal was 6 inches in length straight line measured, which was the procurring cause that made the purchaser buy the tortoise from Alex. The next day that same purchaser received the tortoise and to his surprise opened the package to find a 4.5 straightline measured leopard tortoise. Now I do not know about everyone else's interpretation of the said events. But when a so-called business man falsely advertises and misrepresents an animal just to make a sale, that is Fraud in its finest state! He is a gifted man. Was he a used car salesman before he got into this raquet? He also represents himself as a experienced tortoise dealer. But when he spoke to one of the Herp Fauna owners after the sale was made, he openly admitted that he knew very little about all tortoises, and that he was primarily a snake guy.
YOU BET, if it keeps one unsuspecting person from being ripped off...then I've done my good.
Business Rival....not even close, especially if they keep mislabeling, misrepresenting, and falsely advertising animals for sale. Doesnt worry me in the least.
Except that Alex had physical possession of this animal and knows it's history so "looks like" does not play a role in what it really is.
The quotes above were taken off of postings by Alex and associates. #1 Practice what you preach Alex: Hopefully I have saved at least one unsuspecting person from being ripped off. #2 Would you trust a guy's credibility on the history of the animal when initially he lies about its size! This person asked for pictures of the parents and Alex never forwarded the photos. #3 It seems this person, Jason Medina out foxed Alex Hue at his own game, and judging from the postings that little baby got upset! BEWARE OF ALEX HUE REPTILES!!!!!!!! You judge for yourself!!

I'm not sticking up for Alex.... everyone knows I've made my share of mistakes.... but, did each of you measure the carapace, or the plastrom??.... Or did one of you measure the carapace and the other the plastrom??.... That could easily be an inch and a half difference??

What a sad post. Let me just spit this out quick, first off why are you posting this and who are you to this story? You obviously have a personal problem with Alex and for some reason thought this was a good way to attack him, by posting this odd little vague story of insinuation about somebody else's tranasaction with him. What does it have to do with you. Second, be really careful throwing around accusations like fraud. Maybe you don't understand how posts on a forum like this can come back and bite you in the ass but I am thinking that if you categorize somebody as a fraud over a perceived 1 1/2 inch differential when measuring a shell you may be setting yourself up for much bigger problems and in fact I really have a hard time calling it fraud. If it were the most perfect measurement it may be 1 1/2 inches. what if it were an inch? half an inch? Is that still fraud? Go and get the person who actually purchased the animal to post as you really are not accomplishing anything.

Did you purchase the tortoise? Or are you posting for someone else? If you are it is what we call a third party post and is against the TOS.

Either you haven't read it or you did not absorb it when you did. Alex compensated them for the size error and they decided to keep the animal instead of taking the full refund that was offerred. Yup...sounds like a bad guy to me.

I also notice that your only other post on this board was on that thread. I am guessing that these people are friends of yours?

Anyways, since the transaction actually had nothing to do with you directly I am curious as to why you are posting second hand heresay statements on someone elses behalf. If the purchasers of that animal have a problem with the transaction than the should be posting themselves. You have no business posting a bad guy thread on someone you have never done business with.

Evan,
Go look at this post:

this same person had to add his 0.02 in there too, now a few weeks later here he is again now with a "bad guy" post. Kinda odd that his only two posts are dealings with Alex...hmmm kinda odd if ya ask me

I know Alex and he is a good guy, there is no doubt in my mind! If I have a question about anything he is the first person I call, and no matter what he always has an answer. I have seen his animals up close they are in great shape. I am sure I'll have many more dealing with Alex in the future. I think this thread is nothing more than someone trying to get back for stealing his pic's...

At least that is my opinion..for what it is worth

John,
You and I must have been typing at the same time, you're just quicker with the "submit" button:D

I agree with the consensus here. The opening post for this thread is nothing but hearsay. I am hereby locking the thread to allow it to drop to the bottom of the BOI sea.
