Depends on what you consider meat, Jim. I don't think him coming here and making this thread was a "let's drawl blood first" kinda move. I'm interested to see an explanation from Wendy about what happen and if the animal(s) are really dead......... Hopefully she will come here with some photographic proof to support her claim.

As for the matter of this thread , dead or alive its not Erics fault that she missed the buss. First delivery attempt is first delivery attempt. If she had been there to pick them up ON that first attempt and they were DOA , then yes I would say refund the money , but she was not there to receive them on the FIRST attempt so there for the guarantee is null and void. None of you would have refunded me if I didn't pick your animals up on the first attempt.

I never said anything about how you run your business. So I dont know where that came from. Is that the old divert attention from the gist of the matter ploy? I mean you seem to type long drawn out irrelevant crap often. Whether it is intentional or not I have no clue.

I was just flat out alluding to how you very often make posts that completely omit the facts of the matter or twist them to suit you. Like how you brought up delivery in your first post, the driver left one of those yellow tags so they were obviously there and trying to deliver. But you insinuated that the driver may not of made a very good effort to deliver. Was he supposed to kick the door in Jim?

Erik seems to have some happy customers too. But I don’t see any ‘bad guy” threads for him. I do see a positive good guy certification and trader rating.

Recent notables have shown this to not count for much. That said, I have no reason to think that Erik is not trustworthy as a supplier.

Again, can anyone tell me what warranted the preemptive thread ? While his TOS may exonerate him from any legal obligation to refund, his preemptive post seems to indicate he also does not feel compelled by any ethical concerns either. So Wendy didn't take the high road. What else is new? If her mouth did her no good once again, so be it. But Erik didn't take the high road with this post either. He didn't even take the time to find out if he was dealing with the Mother or the Daughter, he was in such a hurry to post? I have never been a comfort here for folks whose first and only response is to quote their TOS. Maybe tomorrow they could have been in mutual agreement on something, and it might have been that Wendy had to lump this. But another "beware" thread ? That always diffuses the situation ! Maybe it will bring you more business Erik.

Jim, I would think we should ask Erik to explain his thread. I don’t have the answers to your questions. Maybe, when he gets home from work he will reply with the reasons he made the thread, at the time he did.

Gee Jim, you think this is the first thread warning people about crappy customers? If I had a customer go off on me and start cussing me right from the get go then yeah I *may* be inclined to make a thread about them. Just like there are crap sellers there are crap buyers. And it sure dont hurt to make people aware of both.

Jim seems to judge people before even getting to know them , I have a grandmother that is that way. The only thing I told Miss Wendy to watch her back for is that I'm sending the Washington State Animal Health Inspector to her house to investigate the shape her animals are in .She has posted in auction a few geckos that looked to me to be a little under the weather and infested with internal parasites. But that has nothing to do with this thread. This thread has to do with a shipping and delivery problem and
makes no difference to me who's names are involved. It could have been Alex Hue and Ron Tremper with the same argument and I would still say don't refund the money , FIRST ATTEMPT WAS FAILED.

Sammy, we agree. I thank you for couching your "may" have, as that is an very honest reply. My impression of you is that you would "not" have, but I admit that is only an educated opinion at best.

Dennis, my first post was all about asking Erik questions. I guess he works nights. I was disappointed by his post, as it is clear I viewed it as hasty and not likely to help any matter along. I have no idea if Wendy will post here, although I shot her a quick email question when I first saw it. I was and am very disappointed by some of the other posts that followed it.

You may also note that I have nothing polite to say about "Timmy". If you didn't follow the Erik Weber thread, Timmy is committing criminal harassment against Wendy and her Mother. I heard the tapes, and provided a reference to the Spokane police today, also referring them to the thread. My quotes of Timmy are accurate from the thread. His ex-wife and kids are in another state. He is in Minnesota. He bragged about how he continues to threaten her, and that Wendy needs to be just as worried. Well Jim, depending on how far out in left field the hypothetical buyer was I may have started a thread. It would really depend on the individual case.

I have heard the recordings that Wendy sent out and have followed the thread.

I SUPPOSE looking at the facts, HA, like the setup about the driver, would be amiss. I suppose even considering that a guy who says in his TOS if you're not home on the first attempt, there IS no guarentee, actually MEANS if you are NOT home on the first attempt there is NO guarentee, no I suppose there is no point in considering that.

And I suppose there is also no point in considering the fact that someone could NOT provide photographic evidence about a claimed death, even though it was KNOWN that such evidenc would be required if a claim was made.

I suppose all that is really of no concern here. After all, this IS about how to get your thread approved, isn't it? It really has NOTHING to do with what looks like a theif being busted.

Sammy, UPS is my main carrier. I stick with them here because my local guy is the best. In fact, he's perfect. Makes my shipping life a cake-walk. I dropped DHL because the local guy couldn't tie his own shoes. Without going into detail, my local DHL blew deliveries to me that the UPS guy could do blindfolded. DHL found ways to "ruin a wet dream", all due to the delivery guy. Sammy, I respect your views often enough. But there are a few areas where, like it or not, I have some experience. If I knew everything, would I be posting here ? LOL ... at myself.

There is certainly a time for pre-emptive strikes. I don't see anything in Erik's position that warranted it. Now I see a possible knock-down, drag-out blow-up, PayPal dispute, etc. We have jointly chastised others in the past for coming here with too much haste. That's still my take on this one.
