In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bad Guy Beware of Jerry Kruse

Refund Stu the rest of the money Jerry Kruse

"The snakes arrived this past Wednesday in a much-improved condition compared to the pics you'd originally posted as evidenced by smoother, shinier scales. No neuro nor any motor functioning issues are being observed at all."-Jerry Kruse

Geez.. with the picts Stu posted upon the return of these animals, I can't imagine how poorly they must of looked if Jerry says they're in a "much-improved condition." I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry was selling snakes that are so sick that there's mites living on the snake's ticks.

Stu, sorry to hear that you think my question was just stirring the pot. Honestly your answer could have gone either way for Jerry and if I were just asking as Jerry's buddy I wouldn't have asked it. I find it somewhat disquieting that you see someone who is trying to see both sides of this issue as somehow biased and stirring the pot yet you sit quietly by as the anti-Jerry post proliferate.

Seriously? Do you REALLY think that Stu, after all the crap ol jer has put him through, continues to put him through, should in ANY way defend him?

ol jer put his canoe in the creek all by himself, tossed his paddles out all by himself and has only himself to blame for the pervasive odour that follows him everywhere he goes.

Tony-I'm just reacting to what you are saying. I was willing to let those recent issues lay dormant until you continued to probe for an answer which just stirred Jerry up more. He made more comments that lead to me defending myself and "reacting" to what was said. That's why I say you "stirred the pot". Had you just refrained from your inquiring question in hopes of maybe turning up something that might help your buddy Jerry instead you just started the cycle again. Way to go for someone who claims to just be trying look at both sides and in an earlier post inferred at being a mediator of sorts.

well

wow tony really??? why did you ask then? if it wasnt for benefit? does it really matter??? stu spent 3100.00 for 6 snakes! even IF they were perfect upon arrival they spiralled down in just 2 weeks, pics have been posted. do you honestly feel jerry has/had no responsibility to his customer??? remember we are talking about 2 weeks time NOT 2 months.
as for the anti-jerry posts.... WELL... he brought it all on himself. NONE of this mess would even be here had jerry taken care of his customer. if you wanna play business man/snake breeder/dealer and want to charge that kind of money for 6 snakes then you damn well take care of your customer you dont IGNORE them! leaving them no other option than to post here for ALL to see.
this is WHY the BOI works because you either want to be an upright business man that takes care of his snakes AND his customers OR you dont care. either way the truth will show here, for ALL to see, forever, exactly what type of businessman you are.
to me jerry is good... as he is/has refunding stu in full, which shows integrity.
HOWEVER stu having NO other option than to post here in hopes of some sort of resolution says alot as well. and im sure for some it will be a determing factor in future sales for jerry. thats why ive stated over and over again its a shame it was ever brought here. but ultimately the only person to blame for that is jerry kruse.

Dennis-I appreciate your suggestion but I wouldn't think of asking anyone to do something that may not be ethical or legal. Sending money through PayPal as a gift when I know it isn't just doesn't soung right to me but thanks for the idea.

Paypal profiting of the same transaction twice isn't ethical. Seriously though, sending it as a "gift" basically doesn't allow the sender to put forth a claim at a later date and paypal takes no fees. No buyer protection. Since he isn't buying anything, I think it is fine for him to send the next refund with the status "gift". Perfectly ethical in my opinion.

I understand what the buyer is saying. While it may be "ethical" it still breaks the Paypal's TOS as it's NOT a gift.

The seller isn't giving him money, he's returning his own money to him. Semitics...I know.

If I took a bus downtown to Macy's to go buy pajamas that were on sale but decided later I didn't like the color and wanted to go downtown tomorrow to return them, I wouldn't expect that the bus driver would let me ride free.

Technically, It still doesn't break the TOS. If I remember correctly it states, Sellers may not ask their buyers to send funds as a "gift". Considering this is a separate transaction as far as paypal is concerned because it is outside of the return policy and nobody is selling anything in this transaction. I don't see how it would even come close to violating the TOS. No transaction is taking place at all. No seller is asking for funds to be sent as a "gift" for a item(s).

Ok.:shrug01: I'm taking it a bit more "literally" and not looking for loopholes. But your rationalization might hold up against an inquiry (I once sent my son an actual gift of money and got some extra attention...perhaps it was the amount that raised concerns):shrug01:

I figure if PayPal restricted this form of payment to the "GIFT" category, and labeled it as such...then they mean gift. Otherwise, it should say Miscellaneous payments.

Rob-I have not heard from Jerry since he received his snakes back from me on Mar 21.

ol jer is a class act from start to finish.

He didn't even have the stones to tell you he wouldn't send a check? I'm not surprised.

Maybe it's in the mail and you'll get it today. With that thought in mind, I'm going to go see if there's any flying bacon making the news.

Really jer, would it have been so hard for you to either say yes or no to Stu's simple and reasonable request? Must you play the petulant child til the bitter end?

Stu, thank you. And by the way, you're not the only Stu/Stew that I know. Don't take that personally either. I will await the info and look forward to ending this monetary facet by month end.

Unless I have completely lost track of the date and time, it appears to me that the "month end" happens in just over an hour and a quarter. I guess we are all hoping this will end well, but I do believe that Jerry needs to shake a leg if he is going to meet that deadline.

Half will be paid mid-month and the other half month-end. You have my word.

Stu, I do not want 3 to 4 days to sit and build up with a lot of unnecessary BS. Why the hell do you insist on thinking I'm going to screw you............

The rest at month end. And yes, life has a way of inadvertently slowing things down or what-have-you, unless you're sitting at a computer all day talking about snakes with no real life or have no problem with pushing aside other more-important responsibilities for all-things reptile.

Well, in Jerry's defense, maybe 1) he's already paid or 2) he didn't mean March. He hasn't logged in since the 24th.

Mini-rant: I, for one, am sick and tired of people using lines like I quoted Jerry saying above. I am pretty sure all of us have lives outside of Fauna. There was a business transaction here....I guess this isn't important to Jerry :shrug01: ? If he's so busy with 'life', maybe he shouldn't waste his time with snakes, since he has other 'more-important responsibilities'.

You have my word.

The end of the month is here and no refund and no word.

Stu - I am very sorry you are still dealing with this. Hopefully, it will be resolved soon.

Jerry - business advice - underpromise and overdeliver. Right now, your word is worthless. How you could expect to be allowed to take this much time returning Stu's money is beyond me. How you could STILL screw it up is, well,....beyond reason. A PayPal refund probably takes 5 minutes, so I don't want to hear about car break-downs, sick uncles, etc. You are NOT more important than anyone else here. I wouldn't sell you a bag of snake poo.

How about those pictures of the 'much-improved' snakes? Two of the four shed in a two-day period and we should believe they're fine? If the snakes shed once/month, then the odds of two shedding on the same day are like 1 in 900. Course, if they shed every 5 days,.....
