In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Beware of reptile depot W.C. trash

I'm afraid I have to go with the masses on this one - consider yourself lucky that they are offering to replace the frogs...a replacement guarantee on amphibians in pretty much unheard of. In this case, I interpret the it was your setup[/I} response to mean that the frogs were in good shape, double check your setup. I don't know the company, and it could certainly have been phrased better, but that is how I would read it...did they discuss the details of how they house redeyes?

As for the WC crap comment, again, I am in agreement with most of the other posters. I don't believe that the fact that they were WC is a significant factor here. Redeyes, and many other amphibians, are sensitive to a host of environmental variables.

Stephanie, maybe you've never seen the thousands, most likely, over 700 for a certainty, cups and containers these guys put out.

If someone isn't smart enough to ask if it's wild caught or captive produced, in this day and age of instant information, they have not done sufficient research.

It would be nice if all the importers labelled everything.

I just don't see it happening when cost is usually enough of a factor to determine whether or not the creature you are looking at is wild caught or captive produced.

ok folks, I believe my last comment says it all. but I do have disagree with the W/C statment from harold, I hold noclaim to be an expert on reptiles and yet to find any one who is, just alot of good people who share advise. on the W/C side of it, in my opinoin you never know what type of decease or parasite you have with a W/C reptiles that why a good quarantine program is essential. and that what I question when it comes to the selling of W/C reptiles from dealers.

I have never had any problems with Reptile Depot. They are good guys I have bought many things from them and never had a problem...

Reptile Depot = GOOD GUYS!!!

It seems THEY, Reptile Depot, may well be good guys now.

You however, scotty, are still a scumbag, are you not?

Don't you STILL owe several people lots of money and/or snakes?

Now IF, by some miracle, you actually made good on those debts, then kindly disreguard my above statement of truth.

But I doubt you've come through.

I just wanted to comment on the this...

A seller should fully disclose & advertise that they are selling wild caught without having to be asked. People new to the reptile hobby won't understand the difference between w/c & c/b & if you've ever been to a busy show, their is little time to "chat" with a seller before you're bustled along.

Any vendor who "bustled" me along would not get my business.
Be assertive and ask the questions you want to ask, and if they know, they will answer.

Wilomn bring it baby............

You make me laugh, monkeyboy.

Do you recall quaking in your booties while I rang your doorbell not so long ago? Remember when I took the pic of your "warehouse" in Burbank?

It's not my fault you're a scumbag, you chose to become one all by your lonesome. IT IS your fault, however, that the world now knows that you are a scumbag.

Have you been able to figure out why yet?

Or are you still living on the banks of that river?

Actually, most people think of SCUM as people who scam other people, or rip them off, or owe them lots of money and don't pay them. Funny, by that definition, it sounds a lot more like YOU. Perhaps people don't need someone like you giving them business references, when you are not looked upon in a very positive light within the reptile community.

And I have a hard time believing those thinly veiled threats will get you very far...

I wonder who might be brave enough to dial my number but chickenshit enough to NOT leave a name.....hmmmmmm, now WHO does that remind me of......you can say lots of nasty words, though your grammer is terrible.....you really remind me of some dumbass I've toyed with here.....hmmmm, old age is hindering my ability to tell one dumbass from another.....well, I'll just guess it's YOU scotty/terry/jose whoever you may be today.

I wonder if you can spell the words you mispronounce.

Probably not, you really are NOT very smart.

At least Dan and I have kept our age-admission intact while you chose to make your's discreet :) This Sanchez fool has shown himself once again to be an ass, playing phone games reminiscent of Timmy in MN. As for the "fined and suspended", I think Rich needs to go back to his mentality of a few months back, when he decided that a few folks were worthy of permanent oblivion, drop the "fined" label (such that idiots cannot buy their way back in by contributing to the Rich fund), and just tell them to take their BS and toys elsewhere to play. Sanchez, you are such a F****** horse's ass idiot. You even flunked a Three Stooges audition .... scum.

Lets not take this one anymore off track please. Scotty has his own very nice thread that could probably use some attention. ;)

Agreed Dave. To all considering a new-tank set-up for amphibians, or even tropical fish for that matter, where there will be standing water. Please note, if you have a tank for amphibians with gravel in the bottom, that does not have drainage completely out of the tank, you have standing water. Again, whether a new fish aquarium, or an amphibian set-up, create an area such that you can create water circulation, such as a pool with an airstone or bubbler in it. Rather than start form scratch, with all the problems of cycling your bacteria (you won't have any in the beginning, and thus will get initial ammonia and nitrite spikes). find a friend with an existing fresh-water aquarium. Take a couple of cups of their dirty mucky gravel from their tank. Don't clean it (as that ruins it), just put it in the bottom of your tank as you set it up, crud and all. You now have the jump-started set-up. No ammonia or nitrite spikes. Just nitrates, which are much more manageable, and which were inevitable anyway.
