    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Beware.... The Reptile Ranch

i recently bought 2 male so called hets from them...i recieved the snakes this past thursday, i was happy at first everything seemed o.k. they even ate for me the night i got them...
since then though the best looking of the males has gone down hill he regurged this morning.. and his muscles keep twitching....i examined him and he cannot extend his body out from my hand he is very "wobbly" i ave e-mailed them and have heard nothing in return....i really dont know what to do...i am very upset. i thought i got a great deal on a beautiful snake..
i am losr i didnt see this comming.. it really screws up my plans for my breeding...
 
well i just got an e-mail from r.r they pretty much told me to go screw myself they are not going to give me anything, they only offer live arrival and they got here alive and thats as far as they garuntee anything..the fact that the snake is obviously very sick means nothing... happy customers...means nothing...

well i just got a e-mail from laura or what ever her name is saying she will report me to the authorities if i email them again.....i told them they need a good ol fashion ass kickin... cant i just as easily report them for fraud by misrepresentation??
 
There really isn't anything we can do about any transactions with The Reptile Ranch. The BOI is where to put it out there so others in the future don't make the same mistakes as several us seem to have. Take it as a lesson in asking about a breeder/seller before purchasing. Or make some one on one phone calls and see how you feel afterwards. We offer our phone number and we guarantee live arrival too and health. If we ever sold an animal that ended up ill shortly after arrival, we try to fix the situation as best we could. Thank God we never had an issue like the ones with The Reptile Ranch. (We learned a hard lesson with a transaction from them as well.) Sorry about your breeding plans but there are lots of adult males out there from good people.

Joseph, I would suggest that you update your original thread with the new information. Someone might read that one and believe the deal turned out fine.

Just think of all the people that fell for the TRIPLE HETS they had for sale a month ago.I would hate to be reading this thread if I was one of them.Just goes to show always check the BOI before buying.

Just a quick question, has anyone told the guy laura sold the OP's snakes to about this thread as well? I havent read the whole thread just yet, so forgive me if its already mentioned. But i would worry that her having these sick animals might have caused her other animals to get sick as well, and in turn infect his too.
am i overreacting?
 
It is truly hard to believe that anyone could take a pounding like this on the BOI and not even attempt to defend themselves or make amends . Chuck and Laura are both spineless and completely lacking in integrity . I highly recommend you shop somewhere else .
 
I just recently did a trade with them. Luckily the animals I received looked fine. Unfortunately, 3 weeks after she received them, she said 2 of the animals I sent her had died. I have NEVER had an animal perish in my care and 3 weeks after she received them, she expected me to reinburse her. I had not read this board, but wish I had. I agreed to send her money to cover it, as I believe in doing the right thing. It seems she had a person have an animal die from her after 3 weeks and laughed at them when they asked for a refund. I will still do the right thing, but after all these horror stories, I wonder if she has an infestation that led to their demise.
The animals I received were well packed and communication was great. I have read such terrible things, I wonder how these can be the same folks.
 
if i were you, i wouldnt have told her id reimburse her for anything until a necropsy was performed by a knowledgeable and licensed vet.
 
I Just Saw Someone On Ks Selling One Of Reptile Ranches Triple Hets I Seriously Considered Letting The Seller Know That There Rep May Be Comprimized If That Triple Het Doesnt Prove Out And From What Ive Read On This Thread Theres A Good Chance Of That. As Low As They Are I Dont Think That Anyone In There Right Minds Would Sell An Entire Litter Of Triple Hets That They Knew Wouldnt Prove Out Unless They Were Moving To A 3rd World Country Once The Litter Was Gone Thats Why I Didnt Say Anything To The Seller. As Much Of The Low-life $h!t They Pulled I Still Think The Triple Hets Not Proveing Out Would Come As A Shock. If Anyone Thinks The Seller Should Be Warned State Your 2 Cents On The Matter.

I don't really think that should be done. I have seen pics of the adult ghost and adult ablino they had for the mating together. I had also gotten one of their albino's in a trade(so I really have no doubt they have the breeders for albino at least). I think you can warn people about things you can prove, but otherwise I wouldn't warn about something you can't prove. You do what you feel you should, but I wouldn't. Despite their negative dealings, I can't really say I doubt that the DH and TRH stuff is true. Before I got a couple of the DH's, I asked for a BUNCH of proof and got it. Does that mean that they might not have horrible business practices..no, but I can't honestly say things aren't what they seem. I guess only time will tell. :)
 
Thanks John, I Was Kinda Leaning That Way Too And Thats Why I Didnt Say Anything. Like I Said They Would Have To Leave The Country If They Did That And Im Sure They Know That. The Only Thing That Makes Me Think That They Would Do It Is If There Thinking Of Leaveing The Bussiness And There Just Trying To Rake In As Much As Possible Before They Make An Exit. Im Sure At Least 30% Of There Income Is Generated From The On-line Community And Whoever Doesnt Know Yet Will Know Soon With A 16 Page Thread Going Around With About 3 Good Comments. So They May Realize This Is One Of There Last Seasons And Just Try To Rob And Steal All They Can...

Out of curiosity, how does one PROVE that the snake they're purchasing is in fact a het, especially through pictures? Pictures can be stolen, doctored, etc..
