    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yet they post another add for savvanah monitors but have no livestock available. I guess there just posting to try to get you on there waiting list???
 
Big Apple is a drop shipper. They don't keep animals in stock but rely on several suppliers who will forward outnyournorder when received by big apple.
 
Just going to add one more thing... a friend of mine who also lives here in ny, told me when he was about to do business with them a few months ago, he smelled "rats" and dropped the whole thing when the company, recognizing him also being from ny, he supposes, started making him uncomfortable with some questions that did not pertain to anything... Just another example of the company, I would just cross them out, make it like there not even real. Just so you know:) BigAppleHerps=YUCK!

I'm pretty sure you need to fully name the person involved or else you would be violating the rules of the BOI..

I've purchased various supplies from Big Apple for over 10 years. I personally avoid drop shippers/wholesalers as much as I can for animal purchases so I can't speak to that part but I never had any problems with dry good orders.
 
I've never ordered anything live from Big Apple, but their customer service for supplies is excellent. I had a problem with heat cable I bought from them a few months ago. I got in touch with them by email and was immediately sent a replacement that arrived the next day. I guess it helps that I live on Long Island though.

I'll definitely keep ordering supplies through them, but I prefer to purchase animals directly from the breeders.

Nigro, the red box under my name is from an earlier infraction a couple months ago when I called outback a bad word, boo-hoo, wah wah wah. In terms of Big Apple Herps, you might as well continue shopping at petco, it's rather evident!!
 
Stephen, I guess you decided to ignore the warning about off topic? The red box is karma and has nothing to do with infractions. Any further discussion about this topic should be taken to the feedback forum or via PM.

You can't attribute things like that to mystery friends...either name the person, or don't mention what he told you. (Since you already mentioned it, naming him now might save you from the infraction you're about to get)
