    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got my first order from these guys. Great product, great price and most of all very timely shipping. I ordered on Monday they shipped on Tuesday. I recommend them.
 
I've ordered from them before and was happy with their product and especially their speedy shipping. I have tried another more popular company since, I will be going back to Big Cheese.

Big Cheese in my eyes would hands down be the best rodent breeder in the Country.  Chad is one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with in my life and I would endorse him and his rodents 150%...  Not to mention the quality as well as packing is top notch!  I've dealt with MANY rodent breeders and I only hope Chad is around to do with for a long time to come as nobody else I've dealt with has come close to matching Chad and Big Cheese!

i have bought from then a few times and was very pleased however the past few months everytime i go to order they tell me they are out of rats... once or twice was fine but the third and fourth times uposet me. I had recomened several people to them and big cheese told them the same thing. I hope either they have or will resolve this, the business was good and they had great prices and feeders.
 
Dayer, that's just part of the post breeding feeder rush.  Every year many if not all breeders end up short on some of their sizes and Jumbo rats are always the first as supply goes through the roof.  Sorry that happend buddy and in the future try to plan ahead so you're not ordering during that rush.  I don't know what the case was with Chad but that was ALWAYS the case for me.  On the flipside ask about a 100,000 price break on pinkies in April and they'll have no trouble with that:)

I have ordered from them before....
let me rephrase....
I tried ordering from them before....twice (2)
But they were out of the different sizes I wanted.

Then I called up two (2) other feed suppliers to see if it was a problem everyone was having.  Apperantly not because they BOTH had everything I wanted.
Needless to say I now have 2 suppliers.  But I mainly use one of them...and the other as a back up.

I do wish big cheese good luck in everything they do.
They have always been real nice to me on the phone.
And I like the idea of the vacuum packaging.
But they need to correct this shortage they are having.
Or plan more accordingly.

Just my experience or lack thereof

I would like to thank everyone for the nice comments. As far as the rat shortage, yes we have been low the past few months, and I would like to apologize to everyone who was not able to get their order filled. Rodent breeding is a very seasonal business, it all depends on estimating your demand for the upcoming season. Get it to low and you run out, set it to high and you can quickly get in trouble. Imagine the amount of feed 100,000 rats eat per day, or how much freezer space they take up. We have also had a huge demand for our product this year which was unexpected.
   We have just completed a very large expansion to our rat colony and added 7800 cubic feet of freezer space. Hopefully, this will end the shortage.
   We are a young company going through growing pains as all companies do. We are having  huge demand for our product, and we are doing everything possible to meet it. Again, I want to apologize if I was not able to fill any orders.

I have yet to have any snake in my collection ever refuse a mouse that's come from Big Cheese........a pretty good endorsement in my book, LOL!!

I would like to add that I recently placed a order with one of the other large rodent producers. I got an email saying it would take 8 days for my order to be shipped. I told them 8 days was to long to wait and canceled the order. They emailed me and said in the future I should give them more notice. No need to do that just call Big Cheese.

After trying several other rodent suppliers I have been using Big Cheese Rodents for over a year now. They always ship quickly, have good prices, and great customer service.

Yesterday got an order in and it was 10 rats short. Mistakes happen and this was a large order anyway (about $300). I gave them a call and they immediately apologized and gave me three options. 1. Ship 10 med rats out (which would be expensive on their part). 2. Credit my debit card with the cost of the 10 rats. 3. Credit my account with them and apply it next time I order.

You can't do much better than that! I was extremely impressed on how willing they were to address and correct what was really only a small problem to me. Customer service always wins my business, I highly recommend them.

Wow, I have never ordered from Chad, but from all these positive comments I think I need too. It took another big name rodent company 2 weeks to get my order out. Hmmm.....

I'll jump on this bandwagon, tried them out, was very pleased, called on a Monday recently, $500.00 order, shipped on Tuesday, everything perfect. I will stay with and recommend Big Cheese to all concerned.

I have to say I ordered from Big Cheese and on my last order tired another supposedly bigger dealer. They didnt ship when they stated package was late arriving and for all their customer service felt totally ignored.

I wont make that mistake again will order from Big Cheese in the future they ship what they promise when they promise it.
 
I have used Big Cheese for for awhile and swear by them. I am lucky enough to live within a reasonable driving distance so I simply call them up, place my order, and tell the approximately what time I will be there. When I arrive my order is ready and they bring it out and load it up. I am there no more than five minutes and it is super. The drive there is a nice one as well. I would definately recommend them to anyone!

I orderd 500 mice from Big Cheese Rodent Factory and I must admit I really impressed with the quality of the mice. I was also really impressed with the amount they went to with the packaging to prevent the mice from thawing out. I would reccomend them to anyone who needs qaulity mice or rats.
I ordered a combination of large and small pinkies, and fuzzies.
My california kingsnakes and my western hognoses couldn't be happier. Guess they know good qaulity mice when they see one lol.
