In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yup, thats a corn in there. 1,219 grams! This is my het amel male. I knew he was a big boy, but dang! I didn't know he was that big. He isn't overweight either. I haven't been able to get an accurate measurement on him as far as length because we all know what a pain that can be. I'm 5'10" and he has several inches on me holding him up. No real point to this thread, just a little bragging is all.

That IS a big guy!!......

Put a heavy book directly up against the baseboard on your floor, then gently lower the snake to the floor where it meets the wall,..... the snake will usually crawl straight against the wall and the floor. When it's nose just gets to the book, make a pencil mark where the tip of the tail is at precisely the moment his snout touches the book, then you can measure that distance from the book to the pencil mark with a tape for an accurate measurement.

That's pretty smart Doug. I'll have to use that with my bigger animals.

Thanks!,......

Yeah, it really works great this way, and I have gotten VERY accurate measurements for some big seven plus foot Boa constrictors this way too. They just very casually crawled nice and straight out without a single kink on the porch against the screened -in frame and the concrete floor.
