Just letting you know your classified ad worked, I found it searching for "snakes". Wow. I'd heard Bill's name before locally with both praise and suspicion, but never imagined something like THIS would happen.

I can't believe I'm just finding out about this today. I have known Bill for 5 years. I always trusted him...until today. Like Mark, I trusted Bill to take care of my collection because I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard. Bill said that he would take care of the snakes until I was ready to get them back. For the past few days I have been trying to contact Bill to let him know I was ready. Then I found these threads...I guess I won't be seeing my snakes that I worked for since I was 9 years old. I can't believe that he would run off with MY snakes and never even tell me!!! He said I was like the "son he never had." I'm shocked. I don't even know what to do or how to get my snakes back. I don't think I even can now. It looks like he's fallen off the map. I know Mark well and I guess our situations are identical. Just goes to show that you can't trust everyone. Now I have to restart from the ground up, and I can't afford that. Awesome...just awesome. If anyone has any ideas on how to get my snakes back or find Bill, it would be much appreciated.

Hi Heather,

Let's get a few things straight;

1. The het pied you bought is the one you killed. I was good enough to replace it free of charge. In fact I brought it to you in Sacramento out of sadness for you and the snake I had raised. You have three years to prove her or better yet, return her as she was basically free.
2. I am not responsible for the mojave female you couldn't get gravid. Nature has its' own plan. Again, I can't change nature. I have and have had females that do not produce on demand... with patience you will find they do produce and your fears subside.
3. If you would like pay for shipping this fall I would be happy to loan you my genetic stripe male with a $600.00 deposit.

When you consider all the cool free extras it seems like you can't keep your hand out of the cookie jar...

I wish there were nicer things to say, but the truth is you guys have gone out of your way to invade my privacy and made false accusations. What I propose to you both would be to stop acting like children fighting over toys and leave me and my wife alone. I owe you nothing.

This is Tim. How could you possibly think it is ok to talk to my wife in the manner you have? We have not spread any rumor about you nor lied in any shape or fashion. As a matter of fact when you were being called out by all the people you have scammed (I believe it is up to about 7 - 8 people now) I defended you tooth and nail. I was the only person other than Nikki to defend you. I now see that I was wrong to ever trust you or call you a friend. You think because you threw extra snakes in that you can lie and misrepresent these animals and our deal? Our deal was that we had any access to the genetic stripe that we wanted in case our het females proved out, now your saying that's not true? Our deal also included that if the mojave female didn't produce RIGHT AWAY that we were supposed to get the proven breeder mojave female that we originally had the trade deal for. You wanted us to take the smaller unproven mojave because you thought we may have more luck getting her to breed, but (and I quote) if she isn't going for us right away then we can trade her back for the larger proven female that the deal was originally struck on. I was also guaranteed that if at any time you wanted to sell the genetic stripe he would come back to me for right of first refusal. I am not going to talk about how I was supposed to get the pastel lesser female back because I didn't produce any savannahs to trade for her (also your fault with this faulty mojave). You also sold me a het pied female that died on the trip home. You replaced her because you can not prove that it wasn't your fault she died. Funny how the 2 other snakes in the same position in the car were 100% A OK? And when loading the animals into my car, it was you that stacked them in there. But somehow we killed her? Now, like a stand up guy you did replace her (as any reputable breeder would do) with her sister (so you claim) yet haven't provided me with any paperwork for either? I can't believe you think you are in the right! Is it that you have been lying so long that you are actually believing the lies or that you just flat out don't care? I believe you to be a pathological liar, it is the only thing I can think of as to why you would tell so much untruth. Maybe no one really can stop you from selling snakes, but if I can stop just one poor person from getting ripped off by a low life scam artist like yourself then I will feel vindicated. Too bad someone didn't teach you how to be a man and that your word should mean something in this world, it's a damn shame. That is what's wrong with Bill. He will never admit fault. Ever. He has convinced himself that he is right and everyone is wrong. You can't deal with someone like that; it's like talking to a brick wall. All that can be done is to sue his @$$ or get him arrested for theft. He believes that everyone has hurt him or lied to him and that he now has the right to take what was never his. Karma will come and get him one day. I only wish I could be there to see it happen.

Bill finally responded to me. Here is our conversation up until a few minutes ago. Obviously he is convinced that he is right and no amount of proof or common sense will be able to change his mind. Good luck getting our snakes back. It's time for a lawsuit to smack Bill square in the ass.

This is Josh Swanson. Before you feed me any lines, I know what has happened in the past few months. You basically walked off with or sold everyone's snakes and equipment, even mine. How could you do that? You and I agreed that you would take care of the snakes for me and that when I was ready, I could have them back. I signed up to serve my country and look what it got me? Had I known you'd steal from me, I would have never enlisted. I worked for all those snakes since I was 9 years old. I poured my heart and soul into them, and now I'll never see them again. For the past few days I've been trying to get ahold of you because guess what? I'm ready to take the snakes back. I can afford it and I have the room. But now, that won't happen. I trusted you with 45+ snakes and all the equipment. I looked up to you Bill, I really did. You were an uncle to me and a mentor of herpetology. I never thought you'd do something like this to someone you once called your nephew. Do you even have any of my snakes up there in Washington? Or did you sell them all? I'm crushed Bill. Everything I worked for for 10 years has gone up in smoke because of you. I can't believe it. I expect some sort of restitution for what you've done. Whether you send me some snakes, give me the money that you got from selling them, or something else, you WILL find a way to repay me. Trust me, you will repay me.

Before you even try to pull the excuse you did with Mark, I can "hang" in the ball world. I simply had to take a hiatus and you said you'd take care of them for me. Also, don't try to say that you never charged me and because of that, they're yours. For two years you bred MY snakes and took the profits from MY snakes. You noticed I never asked you for a dime? I figured that you could keep the profits since you were taking care of them free of charge. Now it's time to fork the snakes, or some money, over. I'm not kidding either. You have pissed off way too many people to avoid what you've done. Do you know how much your reputation has been trashed by other people. Remember Mark Willette? I'm sure you do. You did the same thing to me that you did to him. But guess what, he was there with you on the day you picked up my collection. He remembers what I had. He also remembers what our arrangement was. I just got off the phone with him. He's willing to testify against you in court. So, if you're smart, which I'm not convinced you are, you'll find a way to fix what you've done. I know you can and I know you want to. Just fix what you've done and this will all go away. If you don't fix it, people will continue to find you for the rest of your life. No matter how much you think you can get away from your past, you can't. I already know where you live and I know you've been posting ads on Craigslist. You're not too bright are you? You think you can get away? You're wrong. Plenty of people know where you live. And they aren't as nice as me. They'll show up on your doorstep if you're not careful. Like I said, if you want it all to go away, just send people's property back to them. I'm sure they're even willing to pay the shipping. They just want their property back that they worked so hard for, like me. Every penny I earned in high school I put towards those snakes. You walked off with them. You're a thief and a liar. You will never be anything more than that.

The only people lying are those there. I have always had your best interests in mind and have never lied to you period. Your snakes are in the incubator and there are snakes in there for Mark as well. I have never had any intention of "screwing anyone" and you know that to be true. I do not have a criminal background so why would I start now. FOr shits sake Josh, are you gona turn on me now too?

Its funny how sooo many people could belting about him right? And how do hatchling snakes in an incubator account to more then 40 breedable adults? Bill doesn't have very many nice snakes, I have seen his collection the most recent out of everyone (except jhouse), he has all single gene stuff and the normals that he thinks are his own special line of morphs. He had no eggs in February and maybe 10 females breeding that were just starting to get males to them, how does he have enough hatchlings to pay you and mark off? And that is him flat out saying he owes you and mark snakes but that he doesn't have either of yours'! Way to admit your a lying scumbag Bill. Keep us updated Josh...

One thing I'm wondering about, when we were there in February and he was showing off his collection he kept saying something along the lines of how this was only half his collection and the rest were "down the street" at his "partners house". I would like to know if this so called partner was a story to try to make himself look bigger than he is or is there a mystery party involve that no one knows about. When Mark first popped up on here we figured that's who Bill was talking about. But thinking back on it now he would have already had Mark's collection at that point. Just a thought...
