In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bill Leverton SCAMMER beware

You wouldn't buy a hermit crab from me either dude because I'd be afraid you would yank his little claws off.

Now that's funny!

Bill really hasn't explained anything. Just a couple of sorry's. I check the Boa ads regularly and noticed Bill selling a bunch of Boas due to an emergency of some sort then shortly after that posting interest in some for sale. That to me is a huge red flag. To someone that doesn't notice stuff like that(like Lee) and seeing his reputation on here, anyone can play the game for a year and turn out to be scammer. But I am just saying what the majority of us already know.

This is a pretty sad situation to see none the less. Not to make excuses for a terrible crime but I think Bill needs some help.

Can a moderator PLEASE step in and either lock this thread or hand out some fines??!!

Seeing as the two principles involved in the transaction have stopped posting and how this thread has denegrated, it is going to locked. IF Lee or Bill have anything to add, they can email one of the Mods and it can be unlocked for them to add their new information. It really is shamefull the direction a few individuals took this thread.

Per Lee's request, this is being unlocked. He has informed me he has new information to add.

To all the rest, keep this on-topic and the personal squabbles out of it.

Oh yeah thats right....todays the 21st. I believe Bill was going to send the PayPal payment to Lee today. Come on Lee, dont open a thread and take a nap man......thats just cruel.

"plus the $100 he borrowed"

Maybe I missed something. It would not be the first time. Can you anyone catch me up?

It's super that the BOI worked.... another one bites the dust and all that... it's super that Lee got his money back and even an additional amount to help him out. It will be super if this is the first step on the Good Guy Road .... you know that spiral one that starts with one step and leads to Oz....

oh wait, I got confused.... but hey, let's take the analogy... those munchkins tell Dorothy that she only has to follow the yellow brick road and she'll get to see the Wizard of Oz.... but at one point, there is a golden crossroads... and the assumption is that one of those roads doesn't lead to the emerald city... she has to ask for help along the way.

If this were to be made into an analogy, Bill's standing in one spot where there is only ONE path to get him to the "Good Guy" status he once enjoyed, or at least some facsimile thereof. But we all know that along the way there will be some crossroads and he will have to make some choices over whether or not he will continue on that straight and narrow, or take the easy way again. To me it's super that he's started, and I'll wait and see what happens.

I am glad to hear that this is settled, but would be even "glader" to here it from Lee himself. Paying the extra $100.00 was a good choice on Bill's part.

I did not read that much into my statement. I was thinking that whole thread sucked.
Someone everyone trusted scammed Lee and I really don’t care about his recovery. I am just glad Lee has his money and YES the BOI worked again.

Yes, Bill gave back the money after he was caught. Everyone can debate back and forth if it shows redeeming qualities. So, I guess only Bill will know if he did it because it is the right thing to do or because he has a lot tied-up in his future projects.

I guess watching him lie about it for half the thread while watching people like Lucille, Wendy, and Dennis Thomas vouch for him just sits wrong with me. They are owed an apology as well.

When you’re caught stealing off- line you still go to jail or placed on probation even when you pay restitution. The judge does not give you a hug and say good boy just because you give back what you have taken. Bill is a grown man and has adult children; he is passed the age when you know right from wrong.

I agree with Dennis. Just because he made good after being caught doesn't make up for the fact he did steal from Lee. Had someone bought the snake prior to Lee coming across the auction we would not be here having this discussion. The reason we are here is because Bill got caught scamming and stealing from Lee. When did Bill come to this fork in the road? Was this incident with Lee the first step on the wrong path? Or was this just the step where he stumbled and was noticed? Has he turned around to return to the right path? We may never know the answers.
