In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bill Leverton SCAMMER beware

What gives with Levertons missing Avatar and "0" number on his rep points?

To The person who left the question "happy now"? when they left me negative rep points for this post. It has never been ABOUT being happy. Its about sticking to your guns. Making scammers who would rip off you, me, and/or anyone else, given the chance, accountable for what they do. Making as many honest fellow Herp enthusiasts as possible aware of the bad guys in this hobby. These guys need to be hurt IN THE POCKET BOOK!! because believe me....thats where they are trying to hurt us.

The more posts to this thread, the more times this thread is at the top of the BOI, the more shenanigans dreged to the surface the better. I'm concerned my fellow hobbiests knowing who to watch out for and why. Thats what this site was founded on in the first place.

I am not going to argue the point that scammers hurt us in the pocket book because it does. It is prevalent in EVERY type of business and hobby and must be kept down to a minimal level. However, your continuing to stir this situation that has already seen it's fair share of "publicity" is having the same affect as the act itself had. Drop it and move on for crying out loud... I am sure there will be other scammers that appear that you can go crazy on also.

Matt,If you werent such a funny little man, I would take you serious and I dont see her selling anything here or anyplace else do you?

I would say we didnt ... since "SHE" has ONE post! The one you posted. I have been a little upset about the way this "Trial" took place. But that is a bit suspicious. Just my gut feeling though.

Gene,

There was relevant new information today. Bill posted snakes for sale at Reptile Auction and bid on them using one of his "girlfriend's" ID. Bringing this thread back to the top, which Lee (the same one who started it) did was more than appropriate.

I also noticed that Wendy of Dragonfly Reptiles has taken her name off of the Leverton Good Guy side of the wall of his BOI good guy certification. Given the fact, as she mentioned, that she considered Bill to be a friend at some level, It HAD to be a very tough decision for her to make. It was probably made even tougher by all of the folks (including myself) calling her too task on it earlier.

I think she deserves to be commended for making that tough decision, putting aside her feelings and acting on it in the best intrest of the spirit of what the BOI Good Guy Certification program is intended to be.

Thank You Wendy.

Michael Corleone -

This was said to Fredo on Michaels trip to meet with Moe Green to take over all interest in the Las Vegas casinos he shared with the Corleone family. It didn't work out to good for Moe.

While you are correct... it can be found in Sun Tzu's "the Art of War". I think that came before "the Godfather".

Hey Slick....I'm not the only one stirring up the pot.....Havn't you noticed that?.....You on the other hand do almost nothing but post your displeasure in one way or another with this thread. I made a suggestion to you earlier in the thread. If you don't like the program.....change the channel.

:>off_to<: They have programs that capture screen shots. I use namo capture because it came with my Namo web utilities program. I am sure there are free ones around.

You could also just use the print function. Just check the print to file box instead of sending it to a physical printer. A poor mans alternative.

I understand that but this should be on a new thread.

You just keep thinking that.

No, in fact starting new "good guy" or "bad guy" threads where one already exists is discouraged and can result in warning points. Perhaps you should take this up with Rich in the Feedback Forum.

Am I incorrect in thinking that this is a WHOLE different matter in which starting a new thread is not against BOI rules? If so then it IS something that should be taken up with Rich...

Please utilize the SEARCH function as much as possible before starting a new thread (topic line). In many instances, it is much better to continue an existing thread rather than starting a new one in order to preserve continuity in the information about a person or business. Most readers are much more inclined to read a single long thread, rather than dozens of smaller ones scattered all over the BOI. So don't let your message get lost in the clutter by ignoring this simple rule.

Albeit this is a different situation does not dismiss the fact that it is still about Bill scamming everyone. Or at least attempting to but failing miserably.
