For the last two+ years I haven't practiced medicine because I've been taking care of my father while he was dying of cancer. I lost him a number of weeks ago. I guess that what's going on inside of me has been coming out in the few posts that I've made since that time. Having said that, I'll say this...

I hereby formally apologize to anyone on this forum that I have been rude or a dick to for the last 6-7 weeks. I should not have taken out my anger and grief on the members of this forum. I'm sorry.

You seem to continually fall below that standard that Dennis and Ken and Rich maintain. Why is that?

There are plenty of instances where the mods on this site have unloaded on people. Like I said, Rich gives us the freedom to have an opinion. I'm sorry if you disagree with that, but Rich makes the rules.

It is no secret that you dislike me. After all, next to Rich I have given you the vast majority of your warning points. Honestly, I could care less.

Someone really needs to just lock this topic. Let the damn thing DIE already. I agree, people need to know about what has happened in this thread. But that's what a BOI search is for. The thread will NOT go away completely. It will still be here, just not on the front page taking up space it no longer needs to. I am NOT siding for bill, i dont know the man. His actions that brought up this thread and that have been discussed in this thread DISGUST me! But this thread has now become a pissing contest it seems of who can talk the most trash and who can put the man (whom might i add, is already part of the trash barrel as it is already due to this thread) down more than he already is.

I believe that if he does anything else wrong maybe a NEW thread should be created. WHY? Maybe because THIS thread is over 1000 replies of alot of good information and a whole TON of crap, and most people would get so intimidated they wouldnt want to read it all the way through. So if he screws up again, and a new thread is created about it, then people can see "Ok this thread is from way back then, and this thread, hey, its new, let's see what he's doing NOW" I dont know, maybe i am an idiot and have no idea what im talking about. Or maybe i have a good idea and am trying to let the horse be buried. It's been kicked so many times now its a pile of bone dust and pulp!

I think that by keeping threads open, it gives a more accurate, up to date timeline of how Bill(or any other seller in any thread) has progressed. Whether he is moving forward, or falling further behind, having it in one place is easier to track. If you want to see what he is doing now. simply click on the last page of the thread, and tiptoe back until you see usefull info. If you want to see what he did back then, click on the first page and move forward.If you want to see the road he traveled to get from where he was to where he is, read the whole thing. I think if a new thread were started, it would be littered with much of the same stuff that has been addressed here, making 2 identical messes with different titles.
I think if someone looks at the start date, and then notices that there are still posts being added to provide information, they are more likely to read more than if they see 5 seperate threads that each have 5-10 posts, with a week between the start date and end date, and then falling out of sight.
I like the running log/journal style of one thread.

You make a good point. But at the same time give credit where its not due. We have all realized by all the crap posts in many different threads, that a good portion of the time people dont pay attention to the meat of a thread. They read the first couple posts, and the last couple posts, and then post questions or comments that have already been answered or stated somewhere in the middle. Happens all the time, and not just on the BOI. This thread is like a magnet, the more it draws the bigger this thread get's. It doesnt filter out the bad from the good, it just builds and builds and builds... How much of this thread do you think could be eliminated because it had NOTHING to do with the topic at hand? I'd say a good, oh, 400-500 posts or so? Give or take. THIS is a good reason why you dont see my name on every good or bad guy post. I sit back, watch, read, and when i think that i might have a small bit of useful information, i'll post. But if it has nothing to do with me, and i can't add anything constructive that hasnt already been said in one form or another, i just stay shut up and watch the ruckus.

But both of our arguments are a lost cause, it wont do any better. The BS post's will continue to pile up. I guess its more of a vent so its not just MY mind im talking to LOL.

I agree with you Dave. I think that it's better to keep all of the issues under one banner. However, I have thought several times in the past (and even more so in this thread) that it would be nice if we could have some sort of Table of Contents at the front of the topic. At least that way people could quickly access the pertinant parts of the topic, and would certainly make getting the facts a lot less daunting in a topic such as this...but alas, this is not very realistic.

At this point in time it has become unproductive for the most part. The fact that there have been 4 people responding in the last day that obviously have not read anywhere near the whole thread tells me something. I would Love to see this sucker die. If Bill commits another indiscression, I think it would serve us better on a new thread. Just my opinion.

I agree.....I can't see ANYONE actually wading through this whole post and coming out of it still half sane. I don't think there's anything more that could be possibly added to it of any value.

With all due respect, Matt, if you read only the beginning of this thread then you might have noticed that the first few hundred (or so) posts were from July 11, 2005. The issue as to the identity of the snake was settled within 24 hours of the first post, also way back in July. To comment now, nearly three months later, that the snake is the same is to tell anyone here old news. I'm not defending Jay's comments. He has said what he needed to say. But if you are going to complain that this is a "monstrous waste of webspace" then perhaps you should be mindful not to waste even more webspace by posting "the sky is soooo much blue" type of information. I believe that was a bit of the pot calling the kettle black, don't you think?

As far as I am concerned, the BOI is not a waste. It did its job for me! I will never buy another animal without coming here first. I believe the BOI is the greatest tool ever in the on line reptile industry. Of course that is just my opinion.
