In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Bill Leverton SCAMMER beware

To think that it would be a good idea to lock this thread is unrealistic. I can say with some certainty that if this thread were locked, every time a new thread was started about Bill, some of this information would spill into the new thread. If everytime a thread got crazy, and out of line, and locked, a new one would be started when "new evidence" or whatever was brought in. If each thread was allowed to run its course for even a week before locking it down for going off track, the first page of the BOI would be nothing but threads entitled "Bill Leverton/Liar".You can't start a new thread everytime someone is caught in a lie, or tells someone something in private that they feel should be public. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe it is a good idea to be able to start new threads so that stuff you have to say doesn't get lost in the mess, but keeping this one open allows for a "catch all" where information that isn't really new thread worthy can be dropped. A new thread couldn't be started every time Bill lied. Anyone want to count the number of threads that would be?
Also, it is not admins job to regulate what the user reads. The information is here. If you don't want to read 3000 posts, then you have to live with the decision you make to buy or not. I don't think anyone needs to read more than a few pages of this thread to make up their mind whether or not Bill is someone they want to do any business with, but to have all of the information here (no matter how many posts it ends up with) is nice.
If you don't want to read thousands of pages, don't. It really is simple. You can lead a horse to water , but you can't make him drink. We are being shown every angle of the water. If we don't want to take it in, that is not admins fault, nor should they be coaxed into shortening the thread.
To me it is worth it to read a thread before making a multi hundred, or thousand dollar purchase. Who's fault is it if I decide to buy after page one and something goes wrong?
If this thread were going back and forth about whether Bill was good or bad, I could see why someone would have to read the whole thing. Bill is bad. What he did is wrong, and nothing anyone can say, no matter how sweetly they say it, or how many personal comparisons they use in it can argue against that. My opinion is leave the thread open, that way when something comes up it can be added here. I would hate to see a lie not brought up because someone didn't want to start a new thread.

As far as I am concerned, the BOI is not a waste. It did its job for me! I will never buy another animal without coming here first. I believe the BOI is the greatest tool ever in the on line reptile industry. Of course that is just my opinion.

Lee, I agree one hundred percent.

When did the BOI turn into this monstrousness waste of webspace? It used to be quite useful

It’s most definitely not a waste. The last couple months the BOI has contributed to aiding several victims in recovering animals or funds.

About a year or so ago..... :p
Not True. Before the paid membership there was a lot more garbage.
Look at the oldest threads within the BOI you will see the same thing.
You will find it in the archives of the old BOI as well.

oh so true.

it still amazes me how someone can lie, cheat, and steal from someone so far out in the open.

Bill is back on reptileauction.com (aka reptibid). Still trying to sell the snake. <A HREF="http://www.reptileauction.com/cgi-bin/auction/auction.pl?category=b_snake_boas&item=1130971967/"target="_blank">Click here to see the action

with all due respect for what you went through - it's his snake, why does it matter if he is trying to sell it.

I understand why your reporting this, but is there something wrong with him trying to sell a snake he owns?

That link didn't work for me, but here is the Item Number for those that are interested: Item number: #1130971967

Bill has every right to sell his snake. Unless of course, he is selling on a site that has banned him.

I know it is his snake and all, and it is his right to sell, yadda yadda. I hope he does sell it, and makes someone very happy with it. However, this is the 3rd time it has appeared on reptibid I think. He has pulled the ads before, rather than letting them run their course.I think the point of an auction is to sell to the person who bids the highest. With it being up for auction for at least the third time, either he didn't receive the money for it, or he ended the auctions previously when he realized he wasn't going to get even close to what he wanted for it. Remember, the first time it was "auctioned" it was not his yet.I am not surprised it didn't sell after this thread was started, and I wouldn't blame someone for not sending money after reading it.How many people are going to buy it and not send the money before it finally sells and goes for the price that the auction ends at?
Why is he still allowed to post there anyway, after the shill bidding fiasco?
Is he posting under the same user name as before, or did he fly under the radar?
From what I have seen, there are 4 types of people that use reptibid. The scammers, the scammed, Joe Rollo, and the lucky folks who buy from Joe Rollo.
How low do you have to be to not only scam people, but to have to sneak into the site where people go to scam in order to scam them?

My point for bring this thread back to the top was that he has been banned from reptibid and created a new alias. Not because he is trying to sell his snake!!!!!! For those of you who are jumping on my back for posting this info, it is obvious you did not read this entire thread. Bill was banned from reptibid for shill bidding. His old alias was Clearwaterreptiles, his new one is Clearwaterreptiles1.

Take it in stirde Lee.

Thanks for bringing it up and it is appreciated, lots of folks are watching him.

Don't sweat the grumps, they're always going to be there.

More info next time would be benificial though. What name he's using, maybe a screen capture, stuff like that. Questions will be answered that way without your having to be queried.

Hopefully you have reported this to Reptile Auction and they will nix this new ID as well. His attempt to circumnavigate a deserved banishment from their site is simply further evidence of his lack of ethics and character.

Admin has been notified. I am sure his account will be pulled before the days over. Some people never learn. And to think that he is actually trying to tell people he has changed. Good grief.

Just received an email from the Admin of ReptileAuction. Bill's auctions are being deleted as we speak.
