In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

A true Netflix binge is watching an entire series over the course of a weekend, and I haven't done that.
But I am semi-bingeing by watching three or once even four episodes of a show at one sitting. Currently I'm watching Blacklist, to me it is riveting and bingeable.
Have you ever binged Netflix?

Must be a Texas thing ;-) OITNB, Bates Motel, Hemlock Grove all in less than a week....haven't heard anything about Blacklist....will have to try that.

Utta and I binge watch shows all the time :D
Not always the full series in one sitting, usually a season at a time and we're generally working on more than one show at a time.

Haven't seen Blacklist yet, what would you compare it to? Is it like Law and Order? The Wire?

I have not seen Law and Order or the Wire yet.
I didn't watch a lot of TV for many years, that is reaping benefits now as I have a bunch of movies and series that are good and I'm watching them for the first time.

Have you ever binged Netflix?

Absolutely! We don't have cable but use Netflix via ROKU device on our TV (awesome).

We have put down several shows before: Scandal, Prison Break, Survivor (TV series, working on it now) and my personal favorite The Walking Dead. My wife left for a trip a while back and I decided to give a show that I had never heard of before a try, The Walking Dead. Once you get over the initial gag reflex of zombie gore, the story is super well written and I am totally sucked in. Goes against what I thought I would like, but I'm hooked.

I agree having the Roku and watching Netflix shows on a TV rather than computer is awesome.

When I was down with broken leg I watched all 8 seasons of Trailer Park Boys about 4 shows a night but I downloaded from internet.

Just finished Dexter and Blacklist. Dexter is more 'fun' if you could use that word to describe a serial killer show. Definitely R-rated for nudity and language. I really hated how it ended. Lucille, let me know what you think of the finale.
Blacklist is better, more in-depth, smarter. Think Silence of the Lambs made for TV, and drawn out into a series. I'm caught up and ready for the opener tomorrow, but if it goes the way of the X-files, I'll probably lose interest. We spent years trying to figure it out, and it never really came to anything.
IMO, nothing has held a candle to Breaking Bad.

Dexter I bought all 7 or 8 seasons, finished our binge right before they came out in netflix:(! Might have to try blacklist!!

That's exactly how I explain Blacklist to people!

Dexter's ending was terrible. So disappointing.

I'm binge watching Blacklist before the next season premieres tomorrow!

Finished Blacklist.
House of Cards is terrific watched it a while back.
'The Killing' is critically acclaimed and I like the first season, but starting with the 2nd season it dragged a little, there were these long pregnant pauses with closeups, gimme a break.

I'm late, but just started actually using Netflix about a week ago. Already about to finish off a Dusk till Dawn TV series & OITNB which my wife got me hooked on. I work the night shift but when home cant help but to up until crazy hours watching the cartoons. I actually like the new ones like Regular Show & classics like Courage the Dog. I probably shouldn't admit it being a "grown up" but I really wish they had the old nickelodeon kid shows like Salute your Shorts & Are you afraid of the Dark too.

What'd you think of the Blacklist Lucille?

I loved it. Layers of plots and personalities, nonstop action, but on another level an exploration of bad guys, a philosophical show and tell of right and wrong and an almost chess-like complexity. Bad guys ranging from amusing 'the Stewmaker' to a scary prelude of an Ebola-like disease where chronic administration of antidotes to those infected depended on their obedience to bad guy plans and agendas.
Entertaining yet thoughtful. Alan Alda as a guest star was a nice touch.

Checked out Netflix, the Rotten Tomatoes site, and the posts here, decided the next binge is The Walking Dead.

Dexter and Deb were married and divorced in real life, during the course of the show. It would be awkward to direct your wife, then ex-wife, in all those sex scenes, then leave the set and head to court to do battle.
