    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've had a lot going on and haven't been on the forums much lately. I did want to share this, though.

I paired my mojave female with both my mojave male and my black satin black pastel male. She gave me five eggs and I allowed her to maternally incubate as I do with all of my clutches. I went out of town for about a week near the end of their incubation and came back to find one of the eggs had deflated rather severely and was becoming discolored. The rest were all still full and white so I didn't have high hopes for the deflated one. After being back home for just two days I found the clutch had started pipping so I snapped a pic. One of the babies had already left its egg and is hiding behind his mother's head in the pic below.

Since the four healthy eggs had pipped, I decided to open the fifth one. Unfortunately, that one did not make it. :( S/he looked a bit black pastel-ish to me but given the circumstance, I wasn't sure. Still, it gave me some hope that my black pastel may have sired the clutch and that there was a possibility of hatching a black magic.

I know not everyone wants to look at deceased babies so I'll just include a link if you'd like to view him/her.

One pipping head looked a little different than its siblings and since I already had my scissors out, I opened its egg a little more. This is what I found inside...

Apologies for the fuzzy photo, but I got my black magic. :)

My 6 y/o son insisted on holding her for a photo. Pay no mind to his filthy paws.
