Black Pastel Harlequin?

Traded to me as a black pastel harlequin (originally purchased from Outback I believe). Are there any tricks to determining black pastels from black pastel harlequins (other than breeding)? I looked on World of Ball Pythons...but the black pastels and black pastel harlequins look very similar to me.

Whatever he is he has a future with my het red ax gal.

Here's the snake (just a little guy). He is going into shed.

I don't see harlequin in that snake at all.

Harlequin is a wide stripe trait as shown by the examples on WOBP

But when you look at their example if black pastel har there are no wide stripes.

The stripe is fairly wide but not as wide as some harlequins I've seen.
Your BP has very little striping compared to the ones on WOBP, I'm pretty confident in saying yours is just a black pastel.

I produced a black pastel this season with same type of stripe almost complete and it was not a harley I say straight black pastel. if i can find a pic I will post

Nice looking Black pastel. If there is more to it I don't see it..

I bought her from Ian a few months ago and I know she was bred to a Black Pastel and produced a BP Harley, not sure if yours is it or just a BP baby.

Striping like that is fairly common in Black Pastels.
