In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Black Pastels vs Cinnamons

Black pastels hands down, mostly because they give a better super. I'm working on getting a Panda Pied and I'm using a black pastel het pied and a black pastel pied. I know some people are going for 'panda pied' using cinnamons, but I think they will brown out as they get older. But only time will tell!

was just looking at the supers and the black pastels look more black then
the cinnamon. Do the supers have any problems

The super black pastels are blacker, particularly when they get older. They also don't tend to get the 'duck bill' of the super cinny.

black pastels all the way, it's a darker animaland less "dirty" especially when they get older

I tend to agree but there are a few projects that I really prefer Cinny better. After seeing a Cinny Lesser I knew that I'd be breeding my Butter to my cinny next season :D

Regards,

B

Then you don't really agree, lol. If you were black pastel all the way, you wouldn't even HAVE a cinny. :>poke2<:

Im Cinny all the way, I like the brown colors and high blushing you see on really good examples. Imo Black Pastels look plain and ugly. :p

black pastel 100% they make better looking morphs than cinnys! I honestly cant say there is one cinny morph I like.......

I think my collection speaks for itself haha. I kinda like cinnamons a little. Black pastels are cool, I just don't like them as much as a graziani line cinnamon. My breeder graziani girl is beautiful, and I have eggs in the bator about 20 days from the cut date, from her and my WC line lesser male. Needless to say, I can't wait. I personally feel that there are many combos where the cinny looks better than the black pastel. Lesser cinnies, Savannahs, pewters, and sterlings are all pretty sweet. I just don't think that the black pastel versions of those combos have the same effect for me. Then again, I do like the super black pastel better than a super cinny. You just can't beat the blushing from a nice, high quality graziani line cinny.

To be more clear about my post I am not a huge fan of black pastels...but the exceptional ones are definitely worth having. I sold my only black pastel male, after I produced my black pewter male; and I have yet to find a black pastel female that I wanted (though I have a female black pastel yellowbelly, a female black pewter, and a female silver streak). For me, there isn't a lot of middle ground with black pastels - they're exceptional, or they're crap. The same goes for cinnies...except, in my eyes, there are even fewer exceptional ones.

What he ^ said. I have no cinnies anymore, only black pastels and black pewters, and black pewterblasts. Going for a super black pin next year. Black pastels look better in almost every combo I've found.

no contest, black pastels...

Both!!

I have both in my collection and when it comes to the super I prefer the Black/Cinnamon Pastel cross. Each one cause slightly different results when bred to different morphs. Since I base my breedings on designer morphs I want and am normally selling the ones I don't want it makes sense to have both in my collection, that way I pick the one that will give me the desired result I want.

I favor the Black...at the moment I have 3 combos with black in them right now...I have 1 Cinnamon female that has yet to breed....maybe this year she will....
